TUNING: D-A-D-G-B-E
EFFECTS: I'd recommend experimenting, though if you want it to sound characteristic of the origninal theme, I'd recommend a smooth, clean distortion which is just enough to produce good, loud harmonics as the base on which reverb, delay, auto-wah, and some phasing can be added. I don't have an e-bow, but if you have one I'd encourage you to try it, as I'm sure it would sound exellent for the lead.
BASS NOTES: I tabbed the BASS portion of the theme out for the guitar. It sounds perfectly good, with the exception that the Low E string on a standard guitar would have to be detuned to a B in order to play the lowest note in the right octave. To fix this, one could use a seven-string guitar(which not many people own), but I have decided to compensate for it by playing the lowest note on the 9th fret of the low E string(which is detuned to D, BTW) which is basically the same note but in a higher octave. To make it sound different from a regular 9, I dampen the strings, as with palm-muting. ( )'s around the 9 indicate this special note.
