Hi, this is just a little piece of writing that a wrote a long time ago
and found on my computer recently. Its really nothing special at all but
maybe it will help pass those rainy days where nothing seems to go
right. Disclaimer : Star wars and all its wonderful characters belongs to
George Lucas, Lucas arts and 20th Century FOX who couldnt have pulled
the greatest three movies of all time, off without the talented actors
who brought life into the characters and made them timeless. Summary : A insight into the turmoil of Leias thoughts after the battle
of Endor.
rating : G - the isnt anything in her folks ! by Toovey Arts As the party drifted into early morning,
They walked hand in hand through the ewok village. Most were still
partying but the celebrations had broken up in to smaller groups. Leia
saw everyones faces, they were all so happy, each singing, dancing and
cheering, so caught up in their marvelous victory to notice they were
missing. She only wished she could share their joy. Of course she was
happy that the rebellion had won but she was more relieved than
anything. Relieved that Luke was alive, most of her new friends had
survived and that the man she loved was safely back with her. But maybe
not for long, as she eyed his back she realized not for the first time
just how much he meant to her. She dreaded his reaction, she knew he
loved her but would that be enough? After all Vader had put him through?
Han almost hated Vader as much as she did, could he find it in his heart
to forgive her? She had decided earlier that if he had decided to leave, she would let
him go, it would break her heart but she would let him go. She would
then dive into her work, forever trying to free people from the empire
and forget that a handsome, pirate, scoundrel had ever stolen her heart.
She had shared so much with him, her fears, joys, thoughts and they had
grown together in the face of destruction and death. He had matured and
learnt how it felt like to be part of a team. He had fallen from his
self proclaimed no. 1 pedestal and had found happiness for the first
time. She had learnt that being afraid was normal and that not every one
was out to get her. She had lowered her cool, calm and collected shield
to find she could trust people and that her emotions were nothing to
fear. Her sharp, stubborn and typical royal personality had softened.
Han brought out the frightened, naive and inexperienced little girl that
she was. She wondered if he knew what she was afraid of more than
anything. More than Darth Vader, the Death Star and loosing Han put
together. She was afraid of herself, so pitifully afraid that she was
ashamed of herself. It was the fear of herself that haunted her at
night, that shadowed her every thought in the day. She did not know who
she was, not really. She knew who she was supposed to be of course -
Princess Leia Organa, the last of the Royal family of Alderaan -
intelligent , beautiful, capable, independent and dedicated to rid the
galaxy of injustice, but all of a sudden that changed and before she
knew it, she was also a young women with a dark past that had to remain
hidden, a sister, a lover and someone who was capable of such power to
the extent of the very man she had fought so hard to destroy. She didnt
know how to be those things. Suddenly, for the first time in her life
she wasnt in control of her life. She didnt know where she came from
or where she was going, only that she was being lead far away from the
Ewok village by a man that was so much of her world yet she knew not,
and perhaps that would have to do for the moment . . . . .
It was all she had . . . . . . We are not heros, we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. __yes there is a sequal coming but anyone is welcome to write one of
their own__ - Toovey arts.
