Net Name: Maja

Real Name: Magdalena Jarczyk. Don't get confused; I'm using my Dad's email. He doesn't mind it, and my friends don't either.

email address: [email protected], but that's for holiday. In October, we shall see.

Web Page address: omega.im.wsp.zgora.pl/~wjarczyk, but see above. Besides, it'd be all Greek to you :)

From: Zielona Gora, Poland. I'm quite new to the city, too, but I already think I'm going to like it.

Occupation: Well, I study. Sometimes, that is. When there's nothing more interesting to do.

Age: 19. Or rather I'm going to be 19 this year, on Halloween minus two days!

Height: 160. But, however unlikely it sounds, I can still grow a little. Even grow up if my family is lucky, but I wouldn't count on that.

Hair (color and length): This hair?^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Dark blond, I think, and it's more the matter of width than length. It just doesn't know the word "gravity", or "stay put". Stars, whatever you ask such things for?

Eyes: Blue. No, gray. No, I don't know.

Fav Books (other than SW): Oh, various stuff. Hitchhiker's Quide, lots of things by Ursula K. Le Guin (especially Left Hand of Darkness, all Earthsea), Enders 1 and 2, Dune (not the sequels), old good Tolkien. And plenty of Polish books, mostly sci-fi and fantasy, of course.

Fav movies (other than SW): The Crow!

Fav TV shows: Now, who needs TV, with all this advertisement? Besides, it steals your time. Only net surfing can beat TV here :)) No, seriously, this question is good among people who watch the same channels.

Fav kinds of music: No fav kinds of music, just any good sound.

When did you first become a SW fan?: Two years-- Don't shoot, don't shoot! Will this never end? OK, so two years ago, during a crazy 7 hours watching trance a friend arranged for me. Well, he knew better what's good for me and I'm grateful.

First time to see ANH: Oh, but I can't remember! I suppose I was about 5. I understood very little, and "forgot" everything except for a scene or two, and an eerie feeling of something wonderful. The funny thing about it was that I could quite clearly recall some inconspicious, but foreshadowing pieces of it, like "How did my father die?" scene. Now, imagine that absolutely overwhelming deja vu I experienced later!

First time to see ESB & ROTJ: 1984? 85? But it must have been before Polish translation anyway. It wasn't amazing because it was SW, or because it was "from the West"; just because it was so "colourful", magical...

Total No. of times to see all the films: At most fifty, I think. Now, that's not the most impressive score, but I'm going to make it up in time!

Fav SW movie: ESB, with ROTJ close behind. It's not that I don't LOVE Star Wars ep IV, though.

Fav SW book: Zahn. No, wait, yoy've already got new Zahn novels out there. I meant HTTE & co. But I just might be forced to change my mind soon. I'm probably fairly predictable as far as SW books are concerned. I do try to be ahead of translations all the time, but it takes credits and lots of imagination.

Other hobbies and obsessions: Role-playing. And oh, I've got this wild dream of becoming a translator--it qualifies as a hobby, I think. And then there are those sausage dogs, two real pests, but one just has to love them.

Anything else you want to add: I'm just not sure whether you can honestly call me a Leia fan. (Is this a bit late to bring this up?) She's a great character, but not my favourite one. Though I must admit that having a smuggler or two around does a lot to help.
