When did you first become a SW fan?: Around 1977, remember getting
way
cheesed off because my brother and I got stuck with the babysitter while
the
folks went to Star Wars.
First time to see ANH: Sometime in 1977 at the cheap theater where
your feet
stick to the floor.
First time to see ESB: 1980, the brother (age 4) and I dragged my
grandparents to the Orpheum Theater on State Street in Madison to go see
the
film. Saw it again with the parents, remember my mom swooning at the "I
know"
line.
First time to see ROTJ: May of 1983, this time we made the parents
stand in
line forever and a day. Saw it in Green Bay
Total No. of times to see all the films: TNTC (too numerous to count)
Fav SW movie: The Empire Strikes Back by a long shot. ANH sets the
story
well, but ESB really brings the characters to life.
Fav SW book: Not a big fan of the profic. Prefer fanfic anyday,
but if I were
to pick, I would rather list characters and not books. Liked Bria Tharen,
a
great zealot, Nil Spaar had the potential to be a delightfully wicked
genocidal maniac. As far as books go, Planet of Twilight was okay, but
like I
said, I read fanfic not profic.
Other hobbies and obsessions: went off the deep end, decided to
co edit a SW
print zine, also play the viola, like to canoe, rollerblade, and hike.
Anything else you want to add: To think I've been on this list for
nearly 3
years?! Eeek!
