When did you first become a SW fan?: At age 15 when my Mom piled
the whole family in the car on a Thursday night in June 1977 and
we saw STAR WARS. (On the drive home my Mom and I were positive
that Han would get the girl, while my sisters said Luke would. :))
First time to see ANH: June 1977, Showcase Cinemas, Tri-County,
Cincinnati, OH
First time to see ESB: 12:01am Opening Day, May 1980 in the
Springfield Mall, Centerville, OH--with Wright State University
SF/F Club--we dressed up as ANH characters. :)
First time to see ROTJ: 4:00pm showing Opening Day, Tysons
Corner, VA--also in costume in a theatre that held 2000 people
with the largest screen in the area at that time--really made
70mm look great!
Total No. of times to see all the films: I quit counting after I
hit 87 for ANH in various movie theatres. Never bothered to
count the rest, particularly after they came out on tape.
Fav SW movie: TESB--best character development, most suspensful
plot and Leia and Han kissed in it!
Fav SW book: Dark Force Rising (the section about Leia on the
Nohgri homeworld was my favorite part)
Other hobbies and obsessions: Reading, Writing, Baking, Sewing,
Making Costumes (SW, General SF, Fantasy and Medieval/Rennaisance),
Reading Email and Newsgroups
Anything else you want to add: I've roleplayed Princess Leia
since I was 15, either on my own or as part of SF clubs and at
conventions. Leia was my role model when I was a teenager, and
even today when things go a bit crazy in my life, I think "what
would Leia do". I love writing SW fanfic and might just get up
the nerve to post it to the list someday.
