Did you ever notice how, in all of the stories about Han and Leia's wedding, (of which there aren't many anyway) no one has ever told a detailed account of it or their honeymoon. Annoying, ain't it? There is no sex scene in this story, so don't expect it. These characters are not mine, and no money is being made from it (as if anyone would want it). Oh, and feel free to pass this on or rewrite it; in fact, please do! NOTE: Jena Cilian is a friend of Leia's from a previously written story. She a mischevious, blonde 17-year-old. Here Comes the Bride Someone knocked on the door to Princess Leia Organa's chamber door, and she hurried to answer it. Winter and Jena Cilian stood there. Leia sank into a chair and said,"I am a wreck." "What ever happened to 'Oh, hi, Jena, Winter, how are you?'," Jena asked. Leia smiled tightly at the teenage girl. "Sorry, I'm just extremely nervous." "You should be," Winter scolded. "It's 4:00, the wedding is at 5:00, and you're not anywhere near ready." "Yeah, we're really gonna hafta work to get you ready in time," Jena put in. "Where's your dress? We'll do that first, then the rest will kinda fall into place." "In here," Leia said. She walked into the closet and came out wearing her slip and carrying her white wedding gown. "I need a bit of help with this thing," she sighed. "Stand here," Winter said. She and Jena helped Leia into the white, beaded gown and tied the sash. "There," Jena said, a note of relief in her voice. "Now for the rest." "You mean it didn't just fall into place?", Leia asked teasingly. "Ha, ha," Jena sneered sarcastically. Leia and Winter were laughing, though, and soon Jena gave in and laughed with them. Han Solo stood in his apartment, trying to tie his tie. His fingers fumbled, however, and he couldn't do it. "Can somebody help me with this thing?", he yelled. Luke Skywalker stopped what he was doing and helped Han. He couldn't seem to suppress a laugh as he did. "What's so funny?", Han demanded. "Nothing," Luke said. "I just can't seem to remember when you've ever been this nervous." "I am not nervous!", Han said. "Oh, yeah?", Lando Calrissian said challengingly. "Then how come you're shaking and sweating...," "I'll tell you this, you think you're nervous, you should see Leia. She's so nervous it makes you look calm," Luke clarified. "There's nothing to be scared about, buddy," Lando tried. "Easy for you to say," Han muttered. "Look, you love her, right?", Luke asked. "Of course! I wouldn't have gone through all that to get her to marry me if I didn't love her!", Han exclaimed. "Well, then, what are you afraid of?", Lando nearly shouted. "I dunno!", Han shouted back. "What are you guys yelling for?", Luke asked calmly. "Listen, Han, it's your wedding, and you can do whatever you want. But I'll tell you this, if you want to call it off, I'm not gonna be the one to tell Leia or anybody else." "I won't call it off," Han said stubbornly. "I never I was gonna. I love her, and I'm gonna do this!" Luke and Lando grinned. Soon Han grinned, too. "Well, almost done," Jena said as she and Winter finished pinning Leia's veil to her hair. Winter handed Leia a bouquet of pale blue flowers and Leia smoothed her skirt. "We must go now," Winter said softly. Leia was silent as Jena and Winter went to the door. "Good luck," Jena said as she left. When she was alone, Leia picked up her blaster from the dressing table. Someone may try to stop the wedding by causing a fight. She held it for a minute, then put it back on the dresser. Luke poked his head in the door. "You ready?", he asked. 'Here goes nothing,' Leia thought. Han stood at the altar, Chewbacca beside him to serve as best man. Chewie growled something, and Han replied,"Yeah, I know you thought I'd never actually marry someone, but I guess you were wrong." Suddenly the doors in the back of the White Room opened and everyone was silent. Leia held Luke's arm as he led her up the aisle, giving her away. Leia wasn't really fond of the idea of being 'given away', as if she were something owned, but she was too happy to be annoyed. Finally they reached the front of the room and Luke put Leia's hands in Han's. The officiator began to speak. Luke was really bored. It had been an hour, and he was still standing, so his legs were aching. Then he heard the officiator say,"You may now kiss the bride." For once Han didn't argue but just did as he was told and kissed Leia. Everyone in that room cheered and applauded. Jena, Lando, and a few others, including Prince Isolder and Teneniel Djo, took bags of silarance seeds and went outside. Silarance seeds were traditonally thrown at the bride and groom outside. There was, however, usually at least one person with a sack of flour instead. The flour was extremely messy and if hit, the bride and groom would be completely white. As Luke followed Han and Leia outside, he noticed who the troublemakers this time were. Jena and Lando. He should have known. But it was they who got the suprise. As they threw the flour, Luke used the Force to send it arching back into their faces. Everyone laughed. Then Leia stopped, glanced over her shoulder, and threw her flowers over her shoulder. Even with flour in her face, however, Jena managed to catch it. "Cool!", she said. Leia and Han were a bit relieved as they danced. They had done it. They were married. Han felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned. Isolder stood there. "May I cut in?", Isolder asked. "No," Han said. "Go dance with Teneniel, 'cause after all the trouble you caused, there's no way I'm letting you dance with my wife." "Some other time, then," Isolder said, then walked away. Leia smiled. "What?", Han asked, noticing. "She's just smiling at me," said a voice at Han's back. Han turned and came face-to-face with Luke. "Congratulations, guys," he continued. "It's about time! I've been waiting since the Battle of Endor for you guys to get married." "Luke...," Leia began. "Yes," Luke said. "Shut up." Han laughed as the trio made their way to the chairs. After all that standing, they ached a bit. Lando walked over to them, still covered in flour. "Congratulations," he said. "I'd kiss the bride, but her brother hit me with flour." "You get what you deserve, Lando," Han said. Even as he said it, he knew he was lying. He would never deserve Leia, but here she was, his wife. As Luke left to see what Jena was up to and Lando went to flirt with a pretty redhead, Leia leaned over and whispered, "I love you, Han." "I know, love," he replied, drawing her into his arms. "I know." Han and Leia approached Han's cabin. Even travelling a lightspeed, the trip to Hapes would take two days. Han thrilled at the thought of being alone that long with Leia, and Leia was just as exited. Suddenly Han scooped Leia into his arms. "What are you doing?", she asked in bewilderment. "Nothing," Han said with a grin, although Leia knew. "I thought maybe you'd want to get changed. His eyes raked over the tight bodice and full skirt of Leia's gown. "No matter how gorgeous you look in that thing, it can't be comfortable." "You're right, it isn't," Leia replied. "But I might need some help getting out of it, and seeing as you're the only other person on the ship, you want to give me a hand?", she asked suggestively. "Hmm, I think I'd like nothing more," Han leered as they walked into his cabin. The End NOTE: I'm writing a sequel to this story called How Do We Get Into This Kind of Thing?. It is set on Hapes, during Han and Leia's honeymoon. If you want to write it, feel free. I need al the help I can get.
