Jedi: Leia
By Anonymous

With the death of Vader and the emperor in the destruction of the death star, the rebels thought the war was over. This was far from the truth, however. Even without their leaders the storm troopers still fought hard, just without any organization. As it turned out the Empire fought even harder without their leaders.

One night while Leia was sitting in her chamber looking over battle plans she heard an eerie voice say “Leia.”

“What is it?” She replied absently.

A glowing man appeared right in front of her. Suddenly she realized who it was. “Ben Konobi?” she said in awe.

“Yes, tis I,” said Ben, “Leia, we, Yoda and I, have a mission of great importance witch we need you to perform.

“Yes, anything! What do you want me to do?”

“The Rebels are at a stalemate with the empire. We need two Jedi knights on our side to put the empire in check. That’s where you come in.” Ben continued, “You are the only person in this galaxy, other than Luke, that has the force. You must train to be a Jedi Knight. Tell Luke; he will know how to train you. Remember the force will be with you always.” With that he faded away.

Leia caught up with Luke in the control room. As she entered, Luke realized immediately that something was wrong. “What happened?” he asked.

“Ben appeared to me,” she replied. “He said you were to train me in the ways of the Jedi.”

“Why does he want you to become a Jedi? Not that I have anything against it.”

“He said something about it being the only way for the rebels to win,” Leia replied, “Oh, I don’t know what I’m doing even listening to him! It just all sounds so stupid.”

“No, Leia, you should listen,” Luke said trying to reassure her. “But if I’m going to train you we’re going to have to go to the Degaba system.”

“The Degaba system? Why the Degaba system.”

“Because that’s where I was trained,”explained Luke, "by the great Jedi master Yoda.”

“Well then let’s get a move on,” replied Leia as they headed for the Millennium Falcon.

A few hours later Leia, Luke, Han, Chewey, R2D2, C3PO, Lando and the Millennium Falcon were all on the surface of Degaba. Leia and Luke went off by themselves to discuss the training and what it means to be a Jedi. Meanwhile the rest of the group was discussing the current situation.

“So, what do you think of Leia becoming a Jedi knight?” Lando asked Han.

“Well I’m not sure that I like the idea of my fiancée having more power than I can even imagine, “but I’m not sure what choice I have, considering how stubborn Leia can be.

As all this was going on was Luke was talking to Leia about the training.

“You should feel lucky that I don’t plan to be quite as tough on you as Yoda was on me,” Luke told her.

 “Why is that?”  asked Leia.

“Well, for one thing, you would be swinging from the trees with me on your back.”

“That would be a switch,” said Leia, suppressing a laugh.

“What do you mean?” asked Luke.

“Well, usually it is you rescuing me…” Leia trailed off.

 “What is it?” asked Luke.

“I sense cold, darkness, death, evil,” replied Leia.

“It’s the cave.  It’s strong with the dark side of the Force.”  Luke continued, “You must go there.”

“W-what’s in there?” asked Leia, trying to keep the fear out of her voice.

“Only what you take with you,” answered Luke.

Leia walked hesitantly into the cave.  When she entered there was a thick fog.  As the fog cleared she saw…a storm trooper!

“Luke said that the only thing that was in here was what I brought with me…  I wonder …” She took a deep breath and tried to clear her mind of all thoughts and feelings.  As she did so the storm trooper suddenly disappeared.  She emerged from the cave triumphantly exclaiming, “I did it!”

“You got rid of the advisory without destroying it?” asked Luke.

 “Uh huh,” said Leia, nodding.

“Great!” replied Luke.  “The first time I tried the cave I failed.”

****

Leia tried hard to forget her two weeks of Jedi training.  Luke was brutal.

Finally, it was time for her Jedi skills to be tested.  The Jedi and their friends returned to the rebel base.

“Okay, guys,” said Princess Leia, Jedi Knight,” we need to engage the enemy and win the dang war within a page and a half!”

 “Wooooo!” said Chewbacca.

“Doopy doopy doopy,” chimed in R2D2.

“R2D2, get the Empire here as soon as possible.  Send out a ‘Na-na na-na boo-boo’ message.”

 R2D2 responded, “Boo-boo-boo-boo-boo-boo.”

C3PO translated: “Honored associates, R2D2 may have been a bit rash.  He has sent out a message saying, ‘Na-na na-na boo-boo you can’t get us.  We got two Jedi knights and you don’t.’

“Lighten up, C3PO,” said Leia, using her Jedi powers to levitate the droid.

Suddenly 50 star destroyers appeared on the scanners.  Focusing their Jedi powers on a nearby asteroid belt, Leia and Luke began pelting the huge ships with enormous chunks of rock.  One by one the ships exploded.  The Empire’s fleet was destroyed.

All the rebels cheered.  Slapping Leia on the back, they shouted, “Never under estimate the power of a woman!”

Champagne corks popped.  Hans ran up to Leia with a bottle in each hand.  Hugging her, he kissed her and poured champagne on her head.  The entire group burst out laughing.

As the laughter died down, Leia said, “Guess what guys!  We won the dang war in under a page and a half.  So, let’s all go out for ice cream, my treat.”
