There were several ORGAN families in Australia, my direct paternal line, which I have traced from Victoria in Australia back to the Parishes of Mevagissey, Penzance, St. Austell, St. Mewan and St. Ewe etc. in Cornwall, England and the Parish of Stoke Demeral in Devon.... 1857 back to the late 1600`s (ongoing) in Cornwall, England.
My current research 'Brickwall' is that of my elusive 5 x Greatgrandfather, Samuel ORGAN, born in the late 1600`s.... The earliest information that I have managed to glean is the marriage on the 24th Jul-1724 in the Parish of St. Ewe, Cornwall to Frances SHORT born 9th Jan-1704 (parents were Samuel SHORT & Mary BUTLAND), also in the Parish of St. Ewe in Cornwall, England. |
