High-School Juniors Revisited - 26 February 2003

Gosh ! Today is yet another day of campus life . Again , I woke up early and perform the same routine like I did for the past 8 months over and over again . It's like while(1) to me .

Traffic today was like hell. Waking up a few minutes later can mean between late for campus or vice versa . I went and wait for bus a bit later today : Just 5 minutes later than how I used to be . Results : I late for lecture . Added with stomach pain , it made things even worse . Blame myself for eating mandarin oranges last night . Now that my stomach was not feeling so well ! When I reached DK5 , the Statistics lecturer already started giving out lecture . Some of my friends were late too . When I was wondering why they were late , they told me that they overslept !!! But I'm kind of relieved to know that there will not be any road closures anymore for the NAM thingy . It's finally over .

Statistics lecture was okay today . We finally cover the topics that require pratical skills . However , the cold and freezing temperature in DK5 really kept us sleepy . But today , it seemed that the time did flowed very fast . I'm glad of it .

After lecture , we have a 2-hour break . It was almost 10 am , and I'm wondering if the SPM results were already out. Today , I braced myself to eat Canteen 1 foods and ended up buying Yee Mee . Tastes terrible ! Maybe because of the egg they added , causes the mee to taste like that . After that , I finish up the remaining questions in tutorial 1 for Statistics . Tutorial will commence in 2 hours .

When I finished with the questions , I planned to go to CITC to test my new C program . When I stepped out of Canteen 1 entrance , my stomach started to misbehave again , I don't have any choice but to go to the toilet again . After that , I finally be able to go to CITC . I failed to rename the files that I mentioned before because : The program was running and it's impossible to rename a file that is in use . So I have no choice but to stick with msconfig instead . Suddenly , I found that msconfig is such a handy tool . Did nothing there but watching 'American Geek' on TechTV | Call For Help website . Connection were darn slow today , even with 56k version . They can speak without even move their mouth . Get what I mean ?

2 hours later , we went to Statistics tutorial class . That was the final class for today . One conclusion , it spelled one word , BORING ! Then an hour later , the class was finished and I stay back at campus leaving Chee Sum and Brother Kit . I spent about an hour there doing nothing and was waiting for Yap to arrive at TARC . As the long-hand turned another 360 degrees on the clock , I called Yap . He told me that the results were not out yet . I told him that I won't be able to wait for him until 3 pm . So , I go home first instead .

When I reached Masjid Jamek station , I mean Putra one , he called me and he told me that he's on his way . So , I just stopped at Masjid Jamek and went to the Masjid Jamek station , STAR one , to wait for him . At exactly three o'clock , he reached the destination . Looked like I'm going bcak to TARC again . Strange !

He was filled with excitement today as he got 5As for his SPM this year . No fails , really neat . Finally , he's going to be a TARCian soon, and he was overwhelmed with excitement every moment . On the train , he showed me the schools latest yearbook and the design was ... quite nice , more craps , more useless stuffs . He even got the past issues , for free , that was not fair !

The admin block was totally different compared with this morning . Most of the people at TARC were outsiders . The admin block was crowded that afternoon . Everyone was interested on getting the application form and detailed informations . Most of them already started to fill up the forms to try out their luck . I believe that some of them were serious . Wow ! Sem. 4 will never be the same again . Will the number of applicants exceed the ones last year ? That was kind of cool .

In the meantime , I called Yin Wei to ask for her results . So far so good , all of her subjects passed , and she got at least 5 credits . Not bad . She was quite a good student after all . Her will to study are very strong . Bio is her interest . She was kind of upset that she can't get 1A for her Bio . Felt sorry for her .

After TARC , we moved on to Pudu to have dinner . We went to Sek Yuen restaurant . The food were kind of nice . Actually , I was not only having dinner but also lunch . I skipped lunch this afternoon since I wanted to escape from eating Canteen 1 foods , however , I knew that I won't be able to do it for long . Ever wondered who got straight As for SPM , so far , Yap told me that Soon Jin Yee and Hui Shi got straight As . The rest ... well , I'm not sure about it . Phoned Ywyn Kim at the same time . Glad that she got 8As . Clever girl . Once again , I proved my theory to be true . SPM is something unexpectable . Last year , many of my juniors cried out in front of me saying that they won't be doing good in their SPM , however , most of them , I mean all of them passed with flying colours .

Their batch was kind of okay . My batch ? Most of my classmates were the extreme one . Everyone's getting straight As , especially Chew Hoong and Kean Seng . Getting 7As was just a standard result . My conclusion ... okay lah ! I'm sharing my juniors happiness for their success . I knew that they put most of their efforts on their studies . Hopefully , they will make up better generations in the future . At least , that will be their catalyst to study even harder in higher levels . Seriously , there's no word as fooling around when we're talking about higher institutions .

It's night time . There's two more persons that I still didn't know their results , my cousin , Mei Moon , and my pet sis , Yvonne . Mei Moon called me first and asked me about the application form for TARC . I don't know why , but , it's like suddenly everyone were interested on TARC , even if they are not serious about it . Strange . Yvonne called me just now . She reported to me with astonishing results of 10As !!!! That means she's the same case as Chew Hoong now . The first time I heard about it , I was so happy , and glad that my efforts on encouraging her to keep on studying never wasted . I just hope that she won't give up and continue to do what she likes most .

Call For Help is on air soon . I wished that I won't miss out the show again ....
