My weekend has been a mixed tidal of feelings. Things were pretty great at first, then conditions got worse, and then for the better. Sickly isn't it? Seriously, this is one of the most tumultous weekend ever. Why? Simple. My computing life betrayed me and then, it became my best buddy. If you still don't know what the "santa maria!" i'm talking about, you're not alone at all. I don't understand myself either at times. But in a nutshell, this are the few things that happened to me the past two days:

-> Surfing the web on Saturday afternoon was one of the worse hell ride i've ever undertaken. Connection was snailing slow! I checked with Netstat Live (AnalogX) , and a very diminutive 658B of average transfer rate nearly sent me to my ceiling. Mind that number, it is smaller than 1KB of data rate. Imagine.

-> Found a super P2P client which is so zapping fast and easy to use, it seems too good to be real. Yes, this PSP, ooopppsss..., P2P client uses a different network (not Gnutella), and it's very very fast and responsive. I managed to download 3 songs the first time i connect to it and it was FAST. What more? Review coming up next week.

-> Before i actually found that client that i mentioned, i bumped into another client. It's called eMule (and its brothers: eDonkey2000, Overnet). I was pretty excited at first, but using that client for a while proved to be worse than hellish, it was INSANELY UNUSABLE. This is why. First, the network is damn bloody f++king slow. The network (eDonkey2000) is slower than an average snail. Secondly, the app is not quite user friendly. If you wanna use the client, you first have to search for servers to connect to by means of a server list found on the developer's web site. Most clients auto connect to clients or servers and this is seriously not fun to use. When i first launched the app, i was mulling on how to get connected to the servers, and it took me some time to find out that i actually could save a server list from the web. When i was finally ready to do some search and download, the downloads took very long to search for sources. one file i tried to download took an average of 1 hour(not including the lookup times). I immediately chucked the app off my HD, and went straight on for other client, then i found my saviour.

-> Unearthed some interesting treasure (books) in my old store room. I was darn happy.

-> Melvin called and it was a very nice chat over the fone.

-> Managed to upgrade to a new firewall software. Very satisfied with new firewall. 4 thumbs up (including my big toes).

It's back to school again, Monday. GOD! Can the time move slower?! Gosh! The thought of Monday sends chills to my skin! Okay, i've mumbled quite a lot here. Time to sign off for Sunday's blog. Oh by the way, techtv.com has gone back online already. I'm still searching for the internet radio app though... See ya.

p/s - Melvin, i'm glad that you liked the new logo. :-)
