It's official. My latest phone bill hit the RM300 mark. Parents are sounding already, actually they sounded more than that. My excuse? That I was about to leave for Canada and that I might not have the luxury to go online with my laptop at my dorm. I don't think i'd even subscribe a line there. Living costs are killing me and i don't think I'd add more weight to that. I told my parents i might be "offline" for GOD knows how long. So naturally, I had to research everything that I had to within this few months time and download whatever I wanted without hesitating a minute. I admit that I was a little over the line, but I think i'm being very reasonable, I don't spend much on anything else; I virtually live without much requests, except for my internet connection, that's basically all of it, and i am being sounded because of that. So, the natural reaction to all these unfortunate strings of events made me turn to the one thing that I feared above everything in my petty lil worthless life -- UNPLUG! It's a decision made in a hurry. No, I don't make perfect decisions in life, most of the time, and I was pretty much burnt up inside, a broiling effect I prefer to hide to myself. So, I'm thinking, is this really the end to everything there is in my life? Can I survive without the Internet for the next couple of months? Will I die and fade into dust in the process of doing so? I might be refraining myself with chains from the Internet and all that I can still do is check emails from the university that i applied to. That's all? Oh GOD! Gimme a sign!

I'm pathetic. I live practically off the net and now... i don't know what to do! I don't wanna go back and become a caveman like i used to while i was in high school. The strings are on me finally. Who knows, this might also be the beginning of something new and good. Quote of the day: There is always a silver lining in every dark cloud. Yeah right. MY ASS! I choose not to believe. Maybe I won't completely pull the plug, maybe i'd do that in stages and not rapidly. From now on I'd only go online at school, and at home, it's absolutely no-no. Did I mention the computers here at my school are secured? I mean, finally, an institution with secured systems. That's rare. No more cheesy vb program like 'CyberEdge' to start browsers, no more access to 'msconfig', no more access to the hard drive to install stuffs, no more using alternative browsers except for IE, only certain ports are open for traffic and the others are tight shut. Trojans, fuhgedaboutit! The systems here run WinXP and i gotta say, to penetrate these systems would require some tinkering; although i must say nothing can be too difficult though. Think of running L0phtcrack? Forget it, it'd take too long or maybe to soon? Basically all the internal services of XP and other networking components are monitored tightly. It's stupid.

Gotta go sleep now, I'm tired like hell. It's 10 in the morning and i feel like shit. What a day.
