Phew ... back to blogging , at last . Fatigue and exhaustion stopped me from blogging after a day in college . Many things had already passed . OO nite's over , although I'm still has some feeling of disatisfaction , mid term tests are creeping around nowadays and presentations and assignments flying around waiting for the coming due date which is around the corner .

Even though I can't be the sound techie for OO nite , I embarked myself for my own version of my odyssey . For the VB assignment this year , my team took up the challenge to produce an RPG . This time , I won't be going to lose out again . We planned to make an RPG similar to Final-Fantasy-like games , and so far we had already done the map part and the battle system . Let me just tell you one thing : Game Programming Is The Most Hardest Programming EVER ! espcially when you're using VB . The structure is a bit weird , unlike C or C++ . Maybe I'm not so good at data structures , fine . Data Structures and Algorithms will be the cure next sem. , I hope . After this project , I'll be back to the roots of programming : C and C++ . Probably , I'll take up the challenge to learn how to use Linux , and probably get a grasp of how the API of Linux works and learn the "Visual Basic" of Linux . Release date for my home-made video game ? Not determined yet . Still under dev. and it's still our team's top secret , so don't expect any tips . Preview will be released 1 week before the actual release . We still need another week to test and debug any creepy crawlies in the game system . However , we will submit the alpha version to our lecturers due to time constraint . Due date is on next next friday .

GIRLS BEWARNED !!! Sex maniacs are running loose in KL . Since the case of the abduction and murder of the IT Analyst , Canny Ong , the word "Sex Maniac" or "Rape" has been the latest buzzword recently . I'm not kidding here . It happened to Yin Wei . But don't worry . She's safe . Nothing's serious happened to her . People might asked , why I am suddenly interested in this topic . I've began to be more concerned about this case especially when such bad things happened to a close friend of mine . Sometimes , I'm kind worried of Yin Wei , because that was not her first encounter . She was always been followed by strangers to her house quite a few times since her schoolyears . Maybe what I'm saying is out of the topic from technology , but Daniel , please tell your female friends to be more careful . KL is not a safe place anymore for girls .

Okay , I'm getting back to C and C++ . Why am I doing that ? Personally speaking , VB doesn't do much things to me . It's just a program meant to develop mostly corporate softwares or Information Systems . Then why am I still learning VB ? First , it's my college's requirement . I still have to take my tests , though . Secondly , to hack Windows . I began to find that msconfig is useless . Not entriely , although I've found the hole of the flaw . Now I'm able to fix it . When you use msconfig to alter the startup programs list to bypass CITC's CyberEdge , the PC still restart at a certain time IF AND ONLY IF , I repeat , IF AND ONLY IF , you use Netscape Navigator instead of IE . I found the hole when Netscape started to restore the registry settings at a particular interval . After the update , th PC restarted . Back and the old days , CITC used to be "IE-less" . So , it can limit users to using only a particular browser . Even though if I studied in TARC before 2002 , that won't bother me so much . I can turn off the registry restore easily in Netscape . But the ultimate tool to CITC's client is the Windows API Call . Using VB , I was able to call the API module to re-enable the Ctrl-Alt-Del and Alt-Tab function . It proved to be useful especially when the PC crashes . Instead of hitting the reset switch , I still can End a Task as the last resort . Thus , it saves me time than to "release" my user ID from the server .. sucked . I'm still trying other types of API Call to entirely shut down CyberEdge's Client flawlessly , for good . I just found that there are 4 surveillance cameras at each of the corner or CITC's lab . More devs coming soon .

Yvonne's "prom" will be on this Saturday .. ooh ... felt as if I'm the one who will be going to the dance . Wondered how will she fared in her dance .. Ganbadde .. sis !!!
