A boutonniere is a small flower that a guy attaches to the lapel of his jacket. It is given to him by his date. |

You and your date can choose not to spend the money on these, but make sure that you discuss this with your date first. You wouldn't want him/her to be disappointed if they buy you something and you show up with nothing for them in return. |

How to put them on:
Corsages are easy. All you have to do is slip them on your date's wrist like they would wear a bracelet.
Boutonnieres are very tricky. Put it on his lapel close to his shoulder, making sure that the flower is facing up (like the way it would naturally grow). Insert the pin into his jacket, back out through both the jacket and flower stem, and back into his jacket. Don't be shy to ask your parents for help if you need it. They will most likey know what they are doing! |
