Clayton Hull and Cory Richard defend their titles in the O'Reilly Outlaw Winter Nationals by winning two of the classes in the Indoor Short Track action Saturday night at Ardmore, Oklahoma. Hull fell short of a double header when he was unable to pull off the hat trick by winning the Open Pro Singles and the Mad Dog class as he did in round one held in November. Richard, who won the Summer O'Reilly Half Mile held at Salina, Oklahoma now has a winning streak of four races under his belt for the O'Reilly series races. Richard who hails from Lake Charles Louisianna brought five other riders along with him from the Lake Charles area.

Clayton Hull defending Open Pro Singles Champion found himself in a main event with 14 riders. Danny Eslick aboard a Suzuki branded motorcycle was the crowd favorite, riding on the top of the cushion sandy track in the riding style of Dave Aldana or Geo Roeder. Eslick took half the field to school on the indoor in his heat race. Danny Eslick went to the front in the start of the main event, again riding up on the top, then after getting out of traffic moving down to the bottom. As the laps developed Clayton Hull, Mike Hinds and Jermy Hinkle were in a battle. Hinkle moved up to the middle of the track, then Eslick's front end pushed out similar to the race on the short track in Del Mar. Eslick slipped off his grove, allowing Hinkle to take the lead. Hinkle had moved up to the edge of the cushion where the track was more tacky, as tacky as sand can get. Hinkle went on to take the checkered flag and win the $400 purse.

Cory Richard had to work for his win in the 85cc division. Corey Wix shot out to an early lead and made Cory Richard defending two time O'Reilly champion work for the win.  Travis Whitaker aboard his 125cc four stroke Yamaha lost a chain in the final laps and he fell back, Richard took the lead and held it to the checkered flag, taking the win. Richard also won the 125-250 combined class defeating Cody Richard in a very close finish.

Kevin Ellingswoth made the trip down from Tulsa to win the Open Amateur Motorcycle class. Ellingsworth was riding his super clean Ron's Cycle Land Honda, that was once owned by Terry Poovey.

The Quads put on a great show with Bob Taylor taking the win in the Open Pro Short Track, Marcie Long came back to win the TT race. Chad Heil presented the American Flag during the opening ceremonies on his 85cc Mod Quad Polini. Then Heil went on to take a sweep in the nights action winning both the short track and the TT races.

The Mowers were wild action again provided by "Wild Will from Stephenville" One of the highlights of the night was when Mower 22 took off over the infield berm, poping a giant wheelie and the driver rode it out clear across the infield, and back onto the back straightaway. The crowd went totally bonkers at the exhibition of the power of the Twin Cylinder Mower.
