RIDER APPRECIATION NIGHT INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

Highlights. John Calvert, what a great guy, he put in an additional $60 for the Dash For Cash for the Open Pro Singles tonight at Tulsa Xtreme World Short Track. Giving the winner $160 with my AMP $100 bucks.

And the winner of the Open Pro Singles Dash For Cash 4 lap main was.......A.J. Eslick on his Suzuki from Team Suzuki $160 winner. Runner up was Aaron Creamer who won $100 AMP provided.

Kacee Frazier took home the NEXT BMX Bicycle presented by Daley's Speed Shop, Tulsa. John Meeker from Hogwarts Meeker Mile, pulled the winning name out of the hat. It was ironic, as Kacee's father Billy Frazier told us he had just ran over her bicycle last week, and was thinking of buying her a new replacement. Cool how those things work sometimes.

The Main Event of the Open Pro Singles Motorcycle was a totally awesome showdown between two straight up National Numbers Factory Suzuki rider AJ Eslick and New England Harley Davidson-Mororcyclists Posts Aaron Creamer, add mix in five other way fast riders including the Suzuki Factory rider teammate Danny Eslick, Bret Sowders and past National Number 76 Victor McAnally . Team Suzuki's Danny Eslick led it from the green to the checkered, but not without a fight from his teammate and brother AJ, who kept rubbing his tire along side his younger brothers bike going into turn four constantly. Behind them, keeping them honest was the battle between Creamer and Bostic. Creamer got squeezed out on the start, with five bikes on the front row, none of the riders giving an inch to the others. It turned into a hold your ground no matter what kinda charge to turn one on the start. Creamer was able to make a hard charge getting past Bostic coming out of turn four, onto the short front straight, man was that a move. Finish ended up Danny Eslick, AJ Eslick, Aaron Creamer and Jeff Bostic top four places. Danny Eslick won the $200 Guaranteed purse. The dash set the stage for what was to the tightest race of the night.

Steve Lyman won the Open Amateur bike contest, with Justin Elswick in hot pursuit all night.

All the human racing fuel tested, passed tech, however I think the New England crew could of won the contest as there was 26 specimans left over from the 2 cases we started with. The watermellon was so good, everyone raved about it. Victory McaNally thanked AMP for bringing it, he was in search of any kind of fruit after the hot heat races. The Watermellon quenched his thrist.

Fireworks were way cool, roasted marshmellow and the hotdogs hit the spot. Lots of people seemed to have a good time at the Races. If you missed it, you should of been there to enjoy the friendship.

The Grand National Championship Factory Team Suzuki riders added a touch of the big time to the blend of fireworks, open fire roasted hot-dogs and the sweet thundering sounds of professional motorcycle racing at the July 3rd Special held at Tulsa Xtreme World. A great group of fans and racers, had fun and enjoyed watching racing, eating food, watching fireworks and generally having a great all American celebration of our countries Independence Day. American Dirt Track racing is one of only a few forms of motorsports that was created and developed in the United States. It is American made!

Steve Lyman, aboard his Lyman's Creative Designs Honda won the 125/250 contest, with Justin Elswick riding his AMP, Hunt Brothers, Daley's Speed Shop entry, in hot pursuit. Elswick put his front wheel under Lyman at one point in the race, but could not make the pass work on the DTX Honda of Lymans.

Tulsa's Kevin Ellingsworth wheeled his Ron's Cycle Land Special to land on the top step on the Podium by winning the Vintage Pro 600's. Roy Hinkle, on the Mike Maple sponsored Yamaha won the heat race, but could not catch Ellingsworth in the main. Mike Newton, coming off the back row, moved his Progressive Suspension - Newton Construction Yamaha in to a respective third place podium finish.

Ian Washburn won the Open Amateur class, after leaving the starting line last. Washburn moved his Icky's Racing Team Honda up from last to first place, passing all other riders in his class in the 12 lap main event.

Kacee Frazier won three races, and took home the NEXT BMX Bicycle presented by Daley's Speed Shop, Tulsa. Every youth class riders names were placed in a hat, and John Meeker, from Hogwarts School of High Performance Flat Track Racing School, pulled the winning name out of the hat. It was ironic, as Kacee's father Billy Frazier told us he had just ran over her bicycle last week with his truck, and was thinking of buying her a new replacement. Cool how those things work sometimes. Congratulations Kacee.

The Quad count was not as big, with four other area tracks all running Quads on the same night. $200 to win was guaranteed for a 12 rider field, but that number was not met. Willie Etheridge took top honors by winning all four races he entered on his Daley's Speed Shop Honda.

All the human fuel, passed tech, however I think the New England crew could of won the contest as there were 26 specimens left over from the 2 cases we started with. The watermelon was great, everyone said they loved it. Victory McaNally thanked AMP for providing the Watermelon, he was in search of any kind of fruit after the hot heat races. "The Watermelon sure hit the spot."

Fireworks were way cool, roasted marshmallow and the hot-dogs hit the spot. Lots of people seemed to have a good time at the Races. If you missed it, you should of been there to enjoy the fun, fireworks and most of all the friendship. Creamer's bike broke a fastener during the heat races. Competitors, Victor McAnally, Henry Bollinger, and AJ Eslick all pitched in working on his bike, to help get him in the main event. Teams working together and supporting Dirt Track racing as a whole is will help build this sport. Congratulations, and a Team Effort recognition to these competitors.

You should of been at Xtreme World for the AMP Riders Appreciation Night, if you want to know just how cool it was, ask the people that were there. Next race of the Oklahoma Outlaw Summer Points series Saturday July 31st at Tulsa Xtreme World.
