| We had a beautiful day for a Hunt Test down on Sauvie Island. Our slate was full with 34 dogs entered. We had almost a full compliment of AKC pointing breeds (2 GSPs, 5 Wirehairs, 11 Vizslas, 6 Brittanys, 2 Weimaraners, 4 Irish Setters, 1 English Setter, 1 Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, 1 Pointer, and 1 Spinone.) I think we were only missing a Gordon Setter. Along with the dogs testing, we got to meet a rescue GWP, Jeff, and his owners, Matt and Kelly, who came out to watch. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Our judges were Wayne Yamashita and Karen Niffinegger, with Wayne's wife, Kim, riding along to apprentice. The success rate was high. Twelve of the 18 JH entries passed, 2 of the 8 SHs passed and 4 of the 8 MHs passed. Notable dogs were Larry's one year old GWP, Leif, who passed his first Senior leg at his very first Hunt Test; and Gigi, the three legged Vizsla, who finished her Senior title. | |||||||||||||||||||||
