Pictures from the Grand Tetons

On our fifth morning in Yellowstone, after a refreshing evening in a bed, we headed south through Grand Teton National Park.  We decided not to camp again because of the cold weather, so we just passed through to see and get pictures.
The picture at left is the Grand Teton, mirrored in an adjoining lake.  The Teton Range is like none I've ever seen before, as there were no foothills between the mountains and me.  A diagram in the park shows a huge sedimentary rock layer tilted at an extraordinary angle, with sediment filling in the adjoining basins, creating a mountain range that really pops straight up out of the ground.
