Dedicated to the memory of Steve....a.k.a. "Pe-Paw"


      Stephen F. Huggins, loving husband, devoted Father and Pepaw, role-model and best friend, born September 16 1945 in Pensacola, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001 at the age of 55.

Steve served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps, including a tour of duty in Vietnam before being honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.  He was a graduate of Pensacola Junior College and a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of West Florida.

Following a 20-year career, including partnership with Price Waterhouse, he returned to Pensacola where he joined Saltmarsh, Cleveland, and Gund as a shareholder.  Steve enjoyed running, playing golf, riding his Harley Davidson and boating.  He was a member of the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and frequently volunteered in the nursery.

He is survived by his devoted wife Gail Huggins; his parents, Jack and Edith Huggins and his brother Jack, all of Pensacola; sisters Sandra Huggins and Kathy Taylor of Pace, Elaine Mason of Walnut Hill, Fla; his son, John Huggins of Richmond, Va; daughter, Jennifer Huggins of Blacksburg, Va; step-son Bob Williams of Richmond, Va; step-son Jeff Williams of Portland, Ore; and his five beautiful grandchildren, Amanda, Kate, Myra, and Stephen Huggins and Hannah Williams of Richmond, Va; his numerous nieces and nephews; his faithful feline friend, Bubba; the uncountable friends; and his special little friend, Emily.

The family wishes to thank Steve for the tireless leadership, compassion, respect, and a lifetime of unwavering love.  Your sense of responsibility to God, Family, Country and Work, as well as your humor, generosity, and integrity will live forever in our hearts and in generations to come.

We will miss you.

We will truly miss you Steve.  Thank you for a lifetime of leadership, laughter and love.
