The highest point in Northwest Oregon, Saddle Mountain offers really unique views of the Columbia River, the Pacific Ocean, and East towards Portland, all with views of Mt. St. Helen's and Mt. Hood.

The drive in offers you a glimpse of what lies ahead on this hike.  A rounding hike through a wooded area, and eventually up on the rock.

A good ways up we stop for the token "Dog on a ledge" picture.  I think she has gotten to the point that she knows what to do when I stop near a ledge.

Near the top there are areas where the trail is not sustainable.  Therefore they have installed wooded paths and bridges to help you across.

If you look close enough, you can make out the trail heading to the top of the rock where there is a fenced in area for viewing.

Near the top and on the way back down, a quick picture of the other end of the "saddle" shaped mountain.
