What is Zensufism?

Zensufism is a mystic synthesis of Islamic and non-Islamic Sufism, Classical, Esoteric and Zen Buddhism. It encompasses beliefs and practices dedicated to Allah, to Divine Love, Awakening and Compassion. It is a Tariqa (path) analogous to a Do (Tao).

It asserts that love is a the ever-present essence of Allah.

The central doctrine Unity (Wahdat ) is the realization that all phenomena are manifestations of a single reality (Tawhid). The single reality is devoid of all qualities, yet inseparable from every form and phenomenon. The manifest world is a world of illusion, but as it is inseperable from the divine, it is also false to say it is an illusion. The central aim of all Zensufis is to directly perceive duality from the vantage point of divine unity.

Zensufism makes extensive use of parable, allegory, and metaphor. Meaning can only be reached through a process of seeking the Truth, leading to Awakening. Zensufism is primarily concerned with direct personal experience, and may be compared to other mystic paths such as Gnosticism.
