Moments later the marines of the 6th company assembled before the Chaplain. Niacarus knew time was short, the Ork tide was desending on his men soon. Niacarus only had a few men at his command, they were supposed to be a scouting party. Now they had to be the main defense. 50 men against 50 thousand Orks, but these were no ordinary men, no. There were super-human genitically altered humans.
Once the men assembled he pulled out his tome and began to read.

Movement: Rizza and Gizza boyz deployed on the center of the board and moved behind the grot mob. On the left flank the truck boyz moved out with the shoota boys and the right flank the bikes sped forward behind it the HQ trukk.
Shooting: The Buggies launch a couple rockets destroying the dreadnought, nothing else.
Combat: N/A
Red Scorpions turn one:
Movement: The Razorback emerged from a pile of rubble on the left flank, supported by the Land raider Crusader.
Shooting: The Razorback shot and killed 3 of the bike sqd. The LRC also targeted the bike sqd killing an the rest of the bikes and using the machine spirit shots its multi-melta at the Ork HQ trukk blowing off its rokkit launcher. The Devastators decide to take aim at the encroaching shoota boy mob falling two of them (thanks to cover saves!)
Combat: Still nothing
Orks Turn two:
Movement: Orks continue to march forward, the strom boys jump between the LRC and the land speeder, the Ork HQ trukk speed towards Alpha Centurus Sqd and the Boss and the boys jump out at high speed. All the rest of the boyz move forward in a relative straight line.
Shooting: Whelp the BS 2 of the orks show as they hit nothing this turn.
Combat: The Warboss and his boyz charge Alpha Centurus, in combat Big Toof flexes and downs 3 marines. The nobs take down another three. Marines pass their LD test and mob in.Stormboyz charge the land speeder the nob tears the assault cannon off with his power claw.
Red Scorpions turn 2:
Movement: The landspeeder flies out of combat and the LRC repositions to get all turrets to face the now stranded stormboyz (yikes!) Everone else digs in. The Razor back moves twards the stormboys and unloads a veteran sqd hiding within.
Shooting: Land speeder uses heavy bolter and kills one storm boy. The razorback adds another 3 dead strom boys to the death toll. The LRC blows up one of the buggies in the buggies sqd. The explosion kills one shootaboy as well. Tactical Cerebus immobilized one of the Orc buggies. The devastator sqd targets the 2nd slugga mob just behind the grot mob they kill 5 slugga boys but 4 save thanks to the shield of grots taking bullets for them. 4 grots total are killed.
Combat: The Veteran Sqd. Charges the Ork HQ. In combat the Vets manage to wound Big Toof, and the Warboss kills one vet, the rest of the nobs kill 3 tactical and one more vet. Once again the marines hold their ground and continue to fight.
