1. SCOUT: thats the most important thing in DUNE 2000. Explore all the map from the beggining of all the games. Select all your starting units and move around your base to see what comes your way. Then get some units and find the enemy base to see what he is preparing for you.
2. NEVER BUILD CONCRETE: build only small plates for the wind traps, because building concrete slows down your start and all you need is to be fast.
3. BUILD REFINERIES CLOSE TO THE BASE ENTRANCE: this will make the way from spice fields and refineries shorter and faster for your harvesters. You will get more money in short time.
4. NEVER BE LOW ON MONEY: always build enough refineries and harvesters.
5. NEVER BE LOW ON POWER: it will take your build speed down along with your radar display.
6. NEVER STOP BUILDING: don't waste time!! Build units and structures all the time.
