[[ROMEO
& JULIET...THE BALCONY SCENE REWRITTEN]] 05.24.00
I'm quite proud of this one... lol I think it's cool
Romeo:
Dude! There's a light in the window! Oh my! Oh dear!
There she is! Juliet! If only she was here!
Juliet, the twin of the sun and moon!
My lady! Sweet lady! If only I knew how to croon!
Oh, her eyes are stars, her cheek is bright,
And if only I could hold her tonight!
Juliet: Gasped me...
Romeo: Dude! She talks!
Juliet: Oh Romeo... Romeo... why the heck are you a Romeo?
Romeo: Dude! Should I answer?
Juliet: Oh Romeo... why are you named Romeo?
Why can't you be a Bob or Bill,
Or have some other name like John or Will?
But Romeo you may not be,
'cuz there's a feud in our family tree!
However bad that may be,
You shall now be called Oemor by me!
Romeo: The dudette has renamed me! Oh gasp! Oh joy!
*Jumps out* Juliet! 'Tis me! Your boy!
Juliet: Ay, gracious me! Why are you hiding under that tree?
Come up, sit with me, and perhaps we shall drink some tea!
Romeo: Oh Juliet! Here is a flower whose color is red,
But instead of tea, may I have coffee instead?
Juliet: Why, of course! Coffee as smooth as silk!
Would you like some cream and milk?
Romeo: Why yes! Gracious me, I should join you more often for
tea!
Juliet: Oh Oemor, my love, my light,
Why don't we get married tonight?
Romeo:Juliet my love! You are a genius!
Let's go see Friar Lawrence!
We shall get married in a wedding so grand,
And I shall be happy to put a ring on your hand.
Juliet: But Oemor, you have forgot,
We are to see each other naught.
What do we do, you see,
There's a feud in our family tree!
Romeo: Then secretly we must
To fulfill our lust
When shall we meet,
For our wedding treat?
Juliet: Oh Oemor, don't you think we're moving too fast?
The love might fade, it might not last.
But no matter what happens, what I say is true,
Oemor, I don't want to be with anyone but you.
Romeo: Juliet my love, my girl, my dear,
You are the only one I want to hold near,
My love for you I feel in every pore
And believe me, our love will last forevermore.
Juliet: Oh dear! Oh my! The nurse is calling me! I must fly!
Romeo: Sweet Juliet, look for a message tomorrow,
Or else my head shall be hung in sorrow.
I will send word, by a man,
To inform you of our wedding plan
Juliet: Go Oemor, You now must go,
Be careful not to stub your toe!
Parting is such sweet sorrow,
So I better see you tomorrow!
