Sandra
took a deep breath and envisioned the plate in her mind. She tried placing
the image onto the table. "Close your eyes Sandra, picture the
table and the plate, put them together, easy does it now," Zanderia
instructed. Sandra did as she was told. In her mind, the plate lay on
the table. "Good, now put it in real life." Sandra projected
the image toward the direction of the table, hoping it would work. Work,
work, work... make the plate appear Sandra, make it appear.
"Magnificent!! Just look at that Sandra!" Zanderia exclaimed,
obviously excited. A shiny white plate gleamed on the tabletop. "Why,
you're the fastest who's ever done it! I haven't seen anyone do it so
perfectly so fast! You're going to be one of the most splendid Craftmasters!"
Sandra stood still, momentarily numbed by the fact that she had made
something appear out of thin air, merely by projecting an image in her
mind. "I did it," she whispered. "I did it!! I did it
Zanderia! I did it! Wait till I tell Mom about this!" Sandra bounced
up and down happily.
Zanderia's merry smile turned stern. "Remember Sandra, you are
not to speak of this to anyone. You may not tell your mother or any
of your friends. The one person you can trust on the outside world is
Kevin. He will be the messenger between us, he's the one who brings
you from the outside world to our world. Make sure you're around him
most of the time Sandra. And remember, you cannot speak of this to anyone,
not until you've mastered all of your powers and even then it is still
ill-advised. It's best to keep this a secret Sandra."
Sandra nodded with understanding. "I won't let you down."
"Splendid. Now shall we practice some more? Let me know when you
want to rest or stop Sandra. Pushing your mind too hard isn't good at
all. It can be harmful," Zanderia cautioned, her smile returning
once more.
"Yes, Zanderia."
"Good Sandra, now try moving those thimbles on top of each other."
