Your travels have taken you to an obscure area.You find yourself at the base of a strange temple, half hidden by dunes of sand, scattered palms and native brush. As you ascend the steps, you pass by huge statues guarding the way. You feel as though they are watching your every step. They may very well be!

Braziers line the hall. Burning brightly, they cast strange shadows all about you, making the room seem alive. Did you hear something?

You arrive at a large ante chamber, ablaze in fire light. A giant obelisk stands at the far side of the room. Its black marble glistening in the glow of the flames being held by 3 large statues. Each one seems to be guarding an entrance to parts unknown. Do you dare to explore further?

You take a step forward and hear a *click*. You freeze in your tracks as you realize that you just stepped on a pressure plate. Some trap set ages ago to punish anyone who would try to rob this beautiful temple. Sweat starts to bead on your neck and face as you wait for the fury to be unleashed upon you. You cringe as you hear the sound of stone grating on stone echoing in your ears. You close your eyes, awaiting your fate.

Moments that seem like an eternity pass and you slowly open an eye to see what has changed. There before you stands a pedestal that was not there before. Upon its surface rests a chalice of incredible beauty. Gold with jewels and heiroglyphs intricately carved upon its face.

Taking a deep breath, you reach for the goblet, slowly. You listen for any more suprises in this strange and magickal place. You carefully take the chalice from its resting place, breathing a sigh of relief as nothing happens. You look into its depths and see an amber liquid, its aroma is enticing. You take a sip as it is obviously meant to be drank. The liquid is sweet and goes down with a warming comfort. Waiting for a moment and feeling no ill effects, you return the chalice back to its pedestal and turn to look at the walls once more. Your head begins to swim and the room becomes blurry. You are sent reeling to the floor.

You open your eyes and see that everything is as it was before. You rise up and shake off the cobwebs in your head. Peering at the walls before you, you are able to understand the meaning in these glyphs that adorn the walls. You now have the knowledge of days past and know which way to go.
