The Prose of Gogel: Part III Cont.
In this strange world of the Keep, we discovered an Eastern Kingdom where Sethmar had once visited, and there Hroth's troops discovered a physical daughter of the Holy One, named Soraya, overseeing her land. (Sethmar would often visit worlds, appearing as a charming man, to spread his legacy.) We used this allegiance well, and even brought the Princess into the Citadel and we used her and her allies to reinforce our defenses. We also attempted to dissappear from the public eye altogether to diminish the attacks.
That's when, Holy One Forgive Us, things truely fell apart. An ancient skeletal servant of ours known as Sharazai the Despicable somehow entered a romance with the Holy Princess, seducing her until she would grant him his flesh back . In this newfound state, he became greedy with lust and power, and all thoughts of reason betrayed him. His thoughts turned instead to the destruction of all which we are, to take advantage of our weakened state from within, and in short time the spirit of Toralin found him, and led him to the sword.
We could not fathom what was happening when we saw a man approach the Citadel holding a blade that produced a sickening sensation in our minds. I found my powers useless as he sliced right through the magical barriers. Using my instincts, I quickly retreated into the hills as this despicable one ravaged through the Citadel like a hot knife skewering a stick of butter.
I sustained myself through feeding from the dark energies of cemetaries and clinging to the powers of other undying ones who were not even enlightened by the Holy One. I became a weakened, shrivelled version of myself as Sethmar's great powers dissolved from my bones.
At this time, somehow Sharazai entered into the realm of the Van'Ci itself, and found the Woods of Akkadis where Sethmar often went to meditate. The metaphyiscal form of the Holy One was shattered in a brief fight where Sharazai removed his very head. The Van'Ci was immediately reduced to the equivelancy of a piece of paper, crumbled and torn and lit ablaze. The souls of every being within the Van'Ci became mindless destroyers, devouring everything around them, some of them pouring even into the physical and manifesting as great and mindless demons.
During the collapse of the Van'Ci, even Sharazai and his sword were swallowed. In the aftermath, the only thing which remained was the Shrine of Agathala, with Adyllis sitting quietly within. The extra-dimensional properties of the shrine rendered it safe, and it became a viewing window to watch the horror of what the Van'Ci became.
Since those days, Adyllis has safely landed the shrine on the Keep, and our only hope of recreating the Order of Gogel is by recruiting other dark beings influenced by Sethmar's former energy, such as Liches and other forms of the undying, to slowly use our collective minds to restore order to the Van'Ci.
And so, we must spread the teachings of Gogel and rise as we did in the Second Age, and return to our former power. To reform the Van'Ci even having lost the Holy One, and cast our revenge against those treacherous ones who would see us eliminated.
As Sethmar's power has waned, I feel myself losing more and more of my undying body. My legs crumble and the old bones of my hands fall apart. Soon, I fear I will be nothing more then a head, mounted on our walls, barely able to sustain its own spirit. We must work, before it is too late.
