The Prose of Gogel
Part II: The Second Age
The remains of Maea after the war
And thus, the Holy One was chosen, the powerful priest Sethmar Tagystar. In a dark flash, the priests were no longer undying men but they were given the title of Princes and Brothers of the Van'Ci, all within Gogel's last gasp. Having been transformed into Gods themselves, the dieties herded the lost and fallen souls of the dead Ganymide into a new home: the Van'Ci. The abyss of Gogel's world within moments became their refuge, and a great empire was created within this domain. Blackness became castles and mighty, fiery plains.

With Maea in ruins, the armies of the Van'Ci remained in contact with the physical world through the
Order of Gogel, which were the surviving Ganymide priests who were not of Gogel's holy twenty. Of myself included, we constructed the Castle Occanium woven through the Van'Ci's power. Through tireless studying, we perfected means of crossing between our world and theirs, and using this force to grant us amazing powers, such as the ability to take dead spirits from their world and allow them to enter skeletal shells in ours. Truely, both dimensions became one.

We decided to abandon the scorched world of Maea for a new home, using the Occanium as a vessel and the Van'Ci as a way of crossing great distances in the physical, we found ourselves soaring through the waves and crossways of the Multiverse; a dimensional stream that connects innumerable civilizations with intelligent beings producing psychic discharge. For thousands of years we would find other worlds and spread the teachings of Necromancy; from Sosaria to Rhy'Din, many lands felt our presence.

We created three primary factions in our army:
The Order of Gogel managed by the Avatar of Sethmar himself, to work as the administration, lawgivers and ambassadors to the Van'Ci. The next was The Ebon Order which was the military backbone, managed by Elder Tamaraz, and later the Barbarian Lich H'roth Deart'eegus. And finally, the Crimson Order, overseen by Adyllis of Maea, which maintained scriptures, indoctrination and the teaching of the Order to unknowledgable ones. Each faction had a seperate temple used for travelling the multiverse as well as a base of refuge. In order, they were the Castle Occanium, the Ebon Citadel, and the Shrine of Agathala.

During psychic storms, when multiverse travel was the easiest, the three shrines would appear on an inhabited planet on a dark and electric night; phasing in from the netherworlds and soon conquering what we found: Sometimes we would claim an entire world or country, but often the forces were too strong and we were forced to retreat. Nonetheless, our presence and our influence of Necromany was soon found on countless civilizations; practiced even by those without understanding of where it came from.

This continued for a very long period, and in a way there was a sort of peace. We decided we would explore and conquer until we were either completely destroyed and able to join our brethren in our paradise, or until all known were worlds were under our control.

It was our new Empire-- spread to so many foreign locations, which was the pinnacle of what the Ganymide tried to be. Even after what many thought was complete extinction, we rose from the ashes like a Phoenix and became a force too strong to be removed. However, quite unfortunately, the tide would soon change against us, and we would once more be tested by a new challenge.
