Welcome to the Order of Chivalry.
June 26, 2002: Due to the release of Neverwinter Nights, there seems to be a resurgence of interest in online role-playing. I will not be playing it, as my computer does not meet the requirements to properly run the game. However, I am redesigning this website to make it -- hopefully -- a gathering place for online role-playing gamers. I have had this idea since the sad demise of the Mekkanism website, which was, a year ago, the meeting place for a select number of people who were playing Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn on Mplayer. With the amalgamation of Mplayer into the Gamespy Arcade, several members drifted away, and only a handful of hard-core gamers still remain there. The Order of Chivalry has long since disbanded, but since this website remains, it may be time to put it to good use. Our Forum has already been updated; it is only a matter of time before the rest of this website is.

January 30, 2002: Well, it seems that this site has become inactive. This is the first update in almost eight months, and this is likely to be my last. This site will likely remain available for years, but the Order of Chivalry is dead. It has been for a while, and, sadly, following a computer crash, I have lost all the information regarding the OC and its members. All that remains is here and on our forum. Please take a look at the Forum page of this website. I have added a link to the equally defunct Mekkanism board (the Mekkanism website is inaccessible), just for nostalgia. I can't believe this has been almost a year since this site used to be visited. --Sir Broadsword, signing off. P.S.: If any of you are still around, please feel free to email me: [email protected]
The Order of Chivalry
The Order of Chivalry is a group of Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn players on Mplayer who share a strong sense of cooperation while in the game. They are dedicated to neutrality and noble principles. Despite the name, ALL CLASSES ARE WELCOME: chivalry refers only to the type of gameplay members of the Order are expected to demonstrate while playing the game.
For more details about the Order of Chivalry, its origins and its goals, please read the "Order" section. Please also read our Declaration of Principles.
The Order of Chivalry Newsletter includes the latest information regarding the Order. To create a greater sense of community, our forums allow members and outsiders to communicate with each other.
This site has been entirely redesigned to make it easier to browse. All of the contents of the old website have been integrated in this new version. However, the old version of this site is still accessible for all people suffering from nostalgia. It will not be kept up-to-date, though.
