Section 1:
When you are in the situation of foriegn hostility in times of peace, and outside emperial territory, you are NOT to attack unless given the order to do so by your regiment leader. This rule is void however if you are under a direct melee, or offensive spell attack, or if the men in the regiment are taking considerable damage. You will be able to excersise the right to defend yourselves if any of those conditions are met, but do NOT pursue the attackers unless the order is given by your regiment leader.
Section 2:
As the leader of your regiment, if Section 1: of Rules of Engagement occurs, you are to try to restore peace between your men and the local populus of the area. If such negotiations are unsuccessful, you are to threaten the attackers and form a battle formation. If still the attackers will not cease, you will have full authorization to assault your attackers and give any orders necessary (according to section 3: of Rules of Engagement) to end the hostility of your attackers. However, you will NOT pursue your attackers unless you feel if not by doing so you put your regiment in danger.
Section 3:
In order to engage in combat with a hostile force in times of peace and outside emperial territory, you must meet all rules under section 1 and 2 of Rules of Engagement. When you have done so, you must engage ONLY with the attackers and NOT with any others in the area.
