| Private Second Class: Rank given to new recruits. Private Second Class members cannot join regiments, recieve funding from the OBL treasury for equipment, etc., or attain any higher rank than Private First Class. |
| Private First Class: Rank given when a member achieves full status as a member of Order of the Black Lion. Private First Class members can join any regiment of their choice, with the approval of the regiment captain. Also, can petition use of funding and equipment from the OBL treasury, and also be eligble to attain special titles or rank. |
| Corporal: Rank given to a Private First Class member who shows leadership and organization skills. A corporal can actively take command of a unit of Private First Class members for immediate use only. A corporal also can be given an assignment of diplomacy, such as terms of surrender. |
| Sergeant: Rank given to a Private First Class member who shows exceeding ability in combat, and/or an interest in recruiting for the guild. Sergeants can only take command of a unit of Private First Class members for immediate use if the leading officer of the regiment is unavailable. Sergeants are able to recruit and train members. |
| Warrant Officer: Rank given to a Private First Class, Corporal, or Sergeant. A Warrant Officer organizes all guild affairs. This includes keeping count of members who serve patrol duty, making sure any shipments or orders are correct and underway, etc.. Warrant Officers cannot lead units into combat. |
| Lieutenant: Rank given to a Corporal, Sergeant, or Warrant Officer. A Lieutenant can actively take command of a unit for immediate use, recruit for OBL, take assignments of diplomacy, and distribute common items from the treasury such as arrows or NPC made pieces of armor or weapons. |
| Captain: Rank given to a Lieutenant or Warrant Officer. This rank will only be given to members who are highly skilled in team combat, and individual PvP. Captains can take a standing command over a regiment, recruit and train members, distribute common items from the treasury, and give reasonable orders to lower ranking members outside their regiment. Captains can also take command of a ship (when expansion comes out). |
| Major: Rank given to a Captain or Warrant Officer.. Majors can take active command of a regiment for immediate use, recruit members, distribute common items, give reasonable orders to any lower ranking member, take missions of diplomacy, and take command of outposts. |
| Colonel: Rank given to either a Captain or Major. Colonel's can take active command of a regiment for immediate use, recruit members, distribute any needed item from the treasury including money, give reasonable orders to any lower ranking member, take command of a ship or outpost, or assign patrol duty to a Private First Class, Corporal, or Sergeant. Corporals may also petition for a seat on The War Council. |
| Commander: Rank given to a Colonel. Commanders may take command of a regiment for either immediate, or future use. Commanders can distribute any needed item from the treasury including money; assign patrol duty; take command of multiple regiments; recruit members; demote members under the rank of Captain; promote a Private First Class to Corporal, Sergeant, or Warrant Officer; take command of a ship or outpost; take command of a city if approved by the Guild Leader; and attend War Council meetings. |
