New ORDAINED Updates

July 29th - Starting this week, all information dealing with REV-TV will be posted on their official site at www.geocities.com/sincityrevtv. Taking a cue from ORDAINED, the REV-TV site will be updated weekly. On the ORDAINED site, all the links for REV-TV will remain. Bands coming to Sin City, check it out and find out how to schedule an appearance on REV-TV when you get to town.

July 17th - For those of you in the Sin City viSINity, grab a copy of the Wednesday edition of the Las Vegas Review Journal newspaper. The Reverend was SINterviewed at his shop Sinvocation about a reSINt zoning change in that area. The SINterview was out of the blue, spur of the moment with no prior contact. A photographer was on hand with the reporter and several pics were taken both SINside and outside the shop. It has taken a little longer than expected, however The Reverend has finally gotten some Sin City press. Completely unsolicited. In the largest SINdependent newspaper in Nevada.

July 6th - Due to unprecedented requests, REV-TV has a new website. The program, which started in March of 2007 in Sin City, has quickly gained an audience among the 2 million plus residents of the Vegas valley and surrounding areas. With guests ranging from porn stars to rock stars to rising stars to fallen stars and plenty of comedy and commentary, REV-TV is now the SINsation of Sin City Late Night. Requests and messages received from the REV-TV Myspace site have prompted Ordained Sinterprises to set up a site specifically for the show. Now in its second season, REV-TV continues to bring all the mayhem, metal and madness to late night Sin City tv. Click the link on the main page of this site to check out REV-TV!

July 1st - Alright, some people are going to say this post belongs in the Reverends Rant section..... This week marks the 231st anniversary of the United States Of Americas SINdependence from Great Britain. EVERYBODY in this country that has a home SHOULD BE FLYING THE USA FLAG THIS WEDNESDAY! The Reverend believes that you should fly the flag EVERY DAY, not just on holidays. Doesn't matter who is in control of Congress, who is in the White House, if we are at war or during peace time, if you vote or not (SHAME ON YOU if you are old enough and you don't vote!) or whatever the circumstances may be. Some people (like The Rev) also fly P.O.W./M.I.A and Confederate battle flags alongside Old Glory. Regardless of how many other flags there are flying or even if there is only that one American flag displayed, when the wind catches that piece of cloth and it waves with the breeze, you feel proud to be an American. Go get a new flag and put it up! LONG LIVE OLD GLORY AND LONG LIVE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

June 24th - This past week saw the arrival of several "persons of SINterest" to Sin City. The Reverends father flew in for a week of comped rooms, shows and meals, plus a quick promo spot for REV-TV. Woody "Nationwide" Woodard, his wife Valerie and his dad and mom dropped SINto town for a short vacation (first time SINce the relocation of Rev & Dog), Jerry Thomas and his wife Angie were in town for some gambling and Jerbear took the time to ink a custom eagle head onto The Revs left arm. The blast from the past, one of the very first ORDAINED fans - BTB Donna made it out for the first time ever to Sin City. All the vistors made it by The Revs shop Sinvocation for a quick visit, as well as visits to The Dog and The Revs new condos 4 miles from the Strip. To everyone out there reading this ----- Bring it on! Plenty to do, plenty to see and if you are REALLY lucky (hey, this IS Vegas), you might get a personalized Sin City tour from The Dog or The Reverend. Those of you in bands, call ahead to see about scheduling SINterview time for an appearance or promo spot on REV-TV.

June 24th - Yes, that was The Reverend zipping on and off the stage at the brand new Canyon Club venue at the Four Queens Hotel Casino last night. Earlier in the day, Rev gets a call with a request to help locate a drum tech for the Black Diamond (KISS "tribute") show later. After a few calls, The Rev decided to accept the hustle for himself. Helping to set up the drum kit, switch out guitars after the smoking guitar solo, covering/uncovering the floor monitors (to protect them from blood spitting), cymbal stand maintenance, giving the sound man intro cues, etc. This new venue is kick ass. It has lots of autographed memorabilia, weird furniture (giant chairs, tables with guitars inside like a shadowbox, strange artwork) and no matter where you are in there, you can see the stage clearly. There is lots of room to stand, dance and mingle without blocking the aisles or walkways. The drink prices go up (!) when the band starts, which is not a good thing, but if you PAY ATTENTION and READ THE SIGNS you will see that while beer is $7 a bottle in there, mixed drinks are only $3.50. Big plastic cups too, not those little cocktail glasses. The Canyon Club is not too big, not too small. With a capacity of 575, you can get up close and not have to worry about "nose-bleed" seats. The club management along with the radio commercials are trumpeting the low ticket prices for the upcoming shows. Thanks to the tourists that DON'T READ SIGNS and are all too happy to shell out massive amounts of cash for show tickets, most ticket prices in Vegas are higher than other cities. The big stage production shows here ("O", "Mystere", "Le Reve", Danny Gans, Celine Dion etc.) have MAJOR price tags per ticket. It is not uncommon to see $100 tickets for these shows. When concerts come here, sometimes the tix are so expensive there seems that no way they will sell it out. WRONG! This is Vegas, baby! The Canyon Club aims to change some of that with low priced tickets for their shows. $40 is not bad for an up close performance by an artist you want to see. Down the street at the MGM Grand for example, tix for Rush start at $75. For nosebleed seats. The Four Queens has a winner on their hands with the Canyon Club. When you get here, check it out!
