Recent ORDAINED Updates

March 24th - REV-TV has passed the month mark! This past weekend was Episode Four featuring the Stardust implosion, Willie Nelson live bootleg, The Renegades Of Sluts and ORDAINED videos and more. Episode Five will be even better. Being in Vegas allows The Reverend access to a never ending stream of celebrities. REV-TV Episode Five will have celebrity SINdorsements, along with the mayhem that Sin City is now getting used to. A detailed listing of each REV-TV episode will be posted on this site, starting next week.

March 24th - Until the practice room is built SINside Sinvocation, The Reverend and The Dog have set up shop in a jam room facility. This place is kick ass. Each room has EVERYTHING you need to jam. All you have to do is show up. They have mics, stands, cables, amps, GUITARS, BASSES, and DRUM KITS. Everything. You call and reserve a room, show up and jam. This way all the "dust" can be knocked off before we start jamming with other people. These rooms are available 24 hours a day (try that in VA) and it costs only $18 an hour. That is a steal, considering that you DON'T HAVE TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT! They even have drum kits (plural)! How can you beat that? Sin City is slowly but surely getting louder.

March 23rd - Today at 1 pm pst, The Reverend will close on his brand new condo here in Sin City. The 3rd floor 2 br/2 full bath condo has custom wall shelves built right into the living room wall, stainless steel appliances, full size washer and dryer, nice sized balcony off the living room, ceiling fans, a wood burning fireplace, reserved covered parking directly across from the clubhouse and pool. The gated community has 3 pools (1 heated indoor, 2 outdoor), a kiddie pool, steam room/sauna, indoor jacuzzi, barbeque grills and lots of walking/relaxing areas with shade trees and picnic tables. The Dolce community is directly next door to the Symphony condos, where The Dog now resides. The Reverends favorite place is New York City - check this out..... Moved from Virginia (which is about 5 or 6 hours away from NYC by car) to Vegas, which is about 3000 miles from NYC. Every morning when The Reverend looks out his new bedroom window, the Empire State Building is in plain sight. Moved all the way to Sin City and now he sees the Empire State Building outside the window every day. It is the casino hotel towers at New York New York on the Strip. Point is, now, besides being in Vegas every day when he gets up, he gets to see the Empire State Building too. That is pretty fucking bad ass. Viva Las Vegas!

March 21st - Last night at the Red Rock Hotel Casino, Bret Michaels (vocalist for POISON) gave a free fan appreciation concert. The show was filmed for broadcast on an upcoming VH-1 program. Bret had called the radio station KKLZ 96.3 fm on Tuesday afternoon and announced the show. He would be playing at the Rocks Lounge inside the casino. The show was free, with the casino, radio station and the lounge handing out wristbands for admission. The lounge holds about 200 - 300 people and the wristbands were to keep track of the crowd so they would not exceed capacity limits. Wally Dog was able to score one, but The Rev & Brattany did not. Show is about to begin and The Rev isn't in there. Talk to the bouncer (at the entrance to the lounge), ask if there is a guest list. He tells me not that he is aware of. Hmmmm. This isn't good. Somebody dropped the ball, or so it would seem. No list, no wristband, no entrance. It is a free show, but there is a capacity issue that they have to adhere to. So, big crowd of people who can't get in without a wristband, no guest list, capacity crowd inside, show about to begin. Started getting nervous, until Rev realizes this was OK, seeing as he had went to the casino early morning before anyone was there and dropped off a letter for Bret with the coincerge. The Rev and Brattany are standing there near the lounge entrance and this blonde comes over to Brattany and asked if she had gotten the passes yet. Hands her two "Media" passes and we stroll right past all the people who have been waiting forever along with the bouncers who a few minutes ago were telling us we couldn't go in. Go right up to the front of the stage right as Bret comes on. The Rev starts taping and about 30 seconds later, guy taps him on the shoulder. "Can't do that, turn it off". Obviously this guy has no idea who The Rev is. Rev ignores the guy, keeps recording and holds up his laminate. "Oh, sorry sir, go ahead". Meanwhile, they are grabbing people left and right who are taking pictures and making them stop. After the show, Rev tries to get up with Bret for a REV-TV spot. SINce VH-1 is there filming for their upcoming programming, legal issues prevent him from being able to do it right then. Something to do with lawyers and contracts for performing or something in that vein. Regardless, Rev scored some good footage for future REV-TV episodes. Thanks to Bret and his staff for their generosity. Proven over and over again.... Bret (and the Poison guys too) is always top notch for the fans. Always. How many other people come through and give free concerts? Not many. The fans are the most important thing and Bret knows this. That is why Bret and Poison have The Reverends never ending support.

March 18th - REV-TV has made it to the East Coast! This morning (03-18-07), The Reverend answered the phone and on the other end was "Little Man", a roadie from about 15 years ago. Nobody in the band had seen or spoken to him in years. He was a roadie for the band MetalWolf, which had Wally Dog, Dean Palokangas and towards the end of the bands existence, The Reverend, way back in the early 90's - '91 - '92. MetalWolf was a big show band with a rabid following of fans. That band dissolved and from those ashes ORDAINED was formed. Little Man dropped off the radar. Turns out that his uncle was in Vegas on vacation and saw REV-TV while he was in town. When he got back, he asked Little Man if he had seen anybody from the band lately. Not for years and years and years. He tells him about seeing the show and out of nowhere, the phone starts ringing. Hey Woody, how's that for "Nationwide"?
