May 20th -- The show last night with Relapse Records artists MORTICIAN & SEVERED HEAD went over well, despite a possible "cancellation" threat at noon the day of the show. ORDAINED opened the show, playing a 30 minute stripped down set. We got quite a few new names added to our congregation mailing list, and handed out many promo pictures to all the Metalheads in attendance. Next up was Severed Head, followed by Dark Disciple and finally, Mortician. This show was good overall, with a strong underground following showing up for the event. Thanks to our buds in Dark Disciple for getting ORDAINED added to this bill, Will & Roger from Mortician and the Severed Head guys. Also thanks to the fellas from Dead Ohio Sky and all of the ORDAINED congregation who made it out.

May 2001 -- ORDAINED will be performing (opening) for Relapse Records Death Metal giants MORTICIAN on May 19th in at The Sparta Inn in Sparrows Point, MD. Also on this bill will be Relapse Records artist SEVERED HEAD. Our buds in the Baltimore based death metal band DARK DISCIPLE (who are also on the bill) hooked us up on this show. Come out and support the underground!

April 21st -- The return of ORDAINED and the Heavy Metal Revival Crusade to the Taj Mahal in Norfolk, VA was a huge success. This was the venue that had caused ORDAINED to be BANNED from performing in Norfolk after a Revival back in October. The show went over well, and all is cool again for the Ministers Of Metal and the ENTIRE staff of the Taj Mahal. ORDAINED will be returning to perform in Norfolk in June (possibly sooner). Thanks to all of the ORDAINED congregation who showed up and helped to prove that Heavy Metal is alive and well in the Bible Belt!

April 21st -- ORDAINED was back in the studio LIVE on All Request Saturday Night on FM 99 in Norfolk, VA. Thanks to all of the ORDAINED congregation who called in with their support and also to Chuck & Rod for having us back in to help promote the return of the Revival Crusade to Norfolk.

March 21st -- Anybody scrolling through the Chronological Crue site may notice that they have added The Reverend to their Fan Ink section. There is a small piece on his Nikki Sixx tat, and the story behind the tattoo. Go to Motley Dot Com and click the "Powered by Chronological Crue" link to check it out.

March 18th -- ORDAINED has had a SINterview published in the new (#13) issue of Transcending The Mundane magazine. The SINterview has been posted on this site, under the new SINterview section. This killer underground Metal zine out of NY is packed with reviews, interviews and ads from massive bands throughout the States as well as the rest of the world. Also SINcluded in most every issue is a compilation CD with 15 or 20 bands that are featured in the zine. "Let There Be Death" by ORDAINED was selected to be on the CD comp that comes with Issue #13. To get your copy ($2 ppd.), or to subscribe ($12 for a year --- this is a kiler deal, as almost every issue comes with a comp. CD), write to:

Tell 'em ORDAINED sent ya!

March 10 -- ORDAINED NORFOLK BAN HAS BEEN LIFTED! The Taj Mahal in Norfolk has asked ORDAINED to return and play a headline show in April. We have been assured that the problems that we had last time WOULD NOT be repeated. Also, we have been assured that our entire stage show can be used as well as the performance of "Perversery Rhymes" (which was banned from our sets at the Taj way back in June of 2000). Check out the Upcoming Revivals section for address and phone number SINformation.

March 10 -- The Reverend added to his skinart again today. Jerry from Toucan Tattoo etched the new addition onto the back of Revs right calf. The new piece is a naked red head hottie with pigtails. She is about 7 - 8 inches tall.

.March 3rd - ORDAINED T-SHIRT BANNED AGAIN!!! ORDAINED guitar tech Asa and two friends were escorted by armed security guards out of the Military Exchange in Langley Air Force Base. Asa had on the ORDAINED "Heavy As Fucking Hell" shirt, while the other "offenders" had on the new ORDAINED "group photo" shirt. Seems that a few people complained about being offended and the next thing you know, base security stepped in. All Hail the First Amendment!

February 24th -- ORDAINED was live in the FM 99 (Norfolk, VA) studio from 9 - 11:30 pm. Although we were scheduled to only be in there for an hour (from 9 - 10), it ended up being over 2 hours before we left. Normally the bands only get an hour and they only play two songs from whoever they have in the studio, but keep in mind that this is ORDAINED we are talking about here. In addition to a SINterview, Chuck & Rod played Sealed With A Fist, Perversery Rhymes, and Sanctum Secorum. Thanks to all our fans who called in and offered their support. You can still request ORDAINED on FM 99 by emailing them through their site.

February 18th -- This Saturday, February 24th, ORDAINED will be doing a LIVE on air SINterview on FM 99 in Norfolk, VA. You can tune in during "all request (yeah, right) Saturday night" and listen. The station is at 98.7 fm. You can also request ORDAINED 7 days a week by going to the FM 99 site.
