(posted) January 3rd - Tune into VH-1 for the new special on Vince Neil (of Motley Crue fame) and you will no doubt see The Reverend throughout the concert Vince played at the Palms Hotel Casino. For those of you who may need a little help locating him, he is featured right up front.... easy to spot with his blue hair. To those of you disbelievers who doubted The Reverend when you were SINtially told of the event back in September - who has the the final say so now, motherfuckers?
January 3rd - ORDAINED has been asked to write a tune which could end up becoming the theme song for a motion picture that is in the production phase right now. We were contacted about this several months ago, but chose to keep quiet about it until our newest EP was released. Additionally, ORDAINED has been asked to submit a selection of our catalog for possible SINclusion on the soundtrack and for use in another motion picture project being filmed in North Carolina and South America. This project is currently in the process of lining up financial backers to set up the distribution and legal aspects of the deal. More details on this as they develop.
December 29th - New ORDAINED for our congregation to close out the year! ORDAINED releases the 3 song EP "50 Ways To Kill Your Lover"! This is the ORDAINED recording debut of Joe Frost on bass. The tunes are: 1. "Grimley's Tale" - 2. "50 Ways To Kill Your Lover" - 3. "Who Was Jack?". "Grimley's Tale" continues the story of the ORDAINED "mascot" character Mortimus Grimley who was SINtroduced on the first ORDAINED release "Let Us Prey" and who was revisited in 2001 on the EP "The Resurrection Of Mortimus Grimley". "50 Ways To Kill Your Lover" is the result of a twisted collaboration between The Reverend & the legendary singer/songwriter Paul Simon (of Simon & Garfunkel fame). "Who Was Jack?" picks up where "The Diary Of Jack The Ripper" on the 2003 ORDAINED release "Altar Ego" left off. The EP will be added in the Shopping SINter section on this site within the next week.
December 27th - We have removed a bunch of pics from our "Photo Galleries" section. All of the pics that were taken down were over one year old. Several galleries dealing with the Altar Ego photo sessions and also the Las Vegas/Hollywood galleries have been scrapped. There seems to be some sort of glitch in the thumbnail gallery for the Halloween Solo Pics and we are trying to figure out exactly what is wrong with the html code so we can fix it. We will be adding more photos in the future, stay tuned.
December 25th - Die Music Group has secured a new business agreement with BritCo Pictures which calls for ORDAINED to supply the music for several XXX movies. Brittany Andrews (head of BritCo Pictures) has had an ongoing working relationship with ORDAINED SINce 2000 when The Ministers Of Metal were added to the Rock/Porn Connection. This group, which was started by Miss Brittany, is comprised of musicians and DJs who promote, contribute to and help sustain the musical aspect of the porno SINdustry. We all know that the music in porn films has long been a staple for jokes and was easily (and understandably) forgettable. BritCo Pictures is aiming to change that with the addition of top notch music from artists such as ORDAINED. Miss Brittany was rated by Playboy Magazine as the number 5 top grossing female adult entertainer of all time, so it is clear that she has a knack for savvy business sense. Details about feature titles and availability of the releases will be posted here as soon as possible.
(posted) December 22nd - Received a phone call from Grasshopper earlier this week. For those of you unfamiliar, Grasshopper is one of our roadies who is also a U.S. Marine. He joined on the day the Twin Towers were blown up. His call was from an embedded undisclosed location in Iraq. Everything is well from his end, the usual "shoot and be shot at". He SINds his holiday salutations to all the ORDAINED congregation members and also SINds his thanks to all who went to the polls and voted in November. Also a big special thanks to those of us who voted for a 2nd term for President Bush. No word yet on when he will be returning back to The States, but he said that as long as he is doing what he has been trained to do, he is in no hurry to come back home. Any future updates will be posted here.
December 22nd - A new photo gallery has been added, with solo pics from our Halloween Revival Crusade Service. Thanks go out to Billy Nuckles for providing us with the photos. We have a few more pics we will be adding from that show as well. Brattany SINt in about a dozen or so that she took throughout the course of the evening. We plan to upload and post those by this weekend. Thanks to Brattany and all the congregation members who have taken & SINt pics from our Revival services throughout the years. Our fans are our SINspiration and we will always remember that!
December 20th - The challenge has been made.... someone has stepped up to the line to question ORDAINEDs title of Undisputed Champion of Heavy Metal. Will the Minister Of SINister & his Deacons Of Destruction answer the call? That is difficult to do when the challenger has no email address, no website or any way to contact them. Of course, we COULD show up at their Monday night performance in January, but that would mean we would have to leave the promoters who are flying in from Germany to meet us before our performance in Philadelphia. A TRUE champion doesn't strike and then retreat with no offer for a chance at retaliation. Here is our offer: email The Reverend when you get a website and we will add you in our "Underground Bands" link section. When you play a show on a Friday or Saturday night in Hampton Roads, notify us by email and we'll take it from there.
