The Clueless Masses Does anyone actually know what is going on concerning the upcoming Presidential election? Well, I am constantly bombarded by people who keep telling me how we "gotta get Bush out of there". Could this be because of the media trashing him at every opportunity? It means that all this negative press is designed to make you NOT THINK and IGNORE the facts. Fact: Unemployment is down. Fact: Orders for durable goods are up. Fact: Interest rates are lower than they have been in 8 years. Fact: The economy is NOT in a depression. Fact: New home sales are the highest they have been in 3 years. Fact: Construction is at a 1 1/2 year high. Fact: John Kerry says he is against American companies setting up shop out of the country to avoid taxes and pay workers less, but his millionaire wife who owns Heinz (yeah, the ketchup people) closed an American factory and opened one up outside the USA for that exact reason. Fact: John Kerry is AGAINST PRIVATE GUN OWNERSHIP. Fact: John Kerry has voted ONLY ONCE THIS YEAR ON LEGISLATION.... that was a vote to extend the "assault weapon ban", which not only has nothing to do with machine guns, but outlaws certain kinds of ammo as well. REST ASSURED THAT ANY ATTEMPT TO BAN CERTAIN TYPES OF GUNS IS JUST A STEP TOWARD TOTAL CONFISCATION. Wake up people! ANY candidate who is against gun ownership is against America. The Second Amendment is there to protect all the other amendments. Only a fool would tell the government that it is OK to take away his guns. Hitler did it to his people and we all know what happened there. Britain has banned handguns and their crime rate has quadrupled. An unarmed populace is just asking to be taken advantage of.
