IS IT LAZINESS OR WHAT?
This may sound like a cliche, however I have got to say it. First off, does anyone remember when you went to a concert and the bands looked like they were a band? If you saw these guys walking around backstage, 90% of the time you have no idea who is who, who is in the band, who is on the crew, who is a fan from the crowd. Know why? Because, for some reason (unless you are KISS), THESE GUYS ALL LOOK THE SAME AS THE PEOPLE IN THE CROWD! Summer is officially here, because Poison played last night. I am a big fan and always have been. Thinking back to when I saw them the first five or so times, they ALL dressed like rock stars and there was no doubt who was in the band. Not to be a spoil sport, now they all dress the exact same as almost the entire crowd. No bad ass jackets, no wild ass pants and shirts, no over the top make up... I realize that they have been touring for well over 20 years, but damn! C'mon! Wear something other than a tee shirt, jeans and tennis shoes! You guys are in Poison! Sparkle it up some again guys! "Well, now that they are older, they probably don't want to do all that anymore". Know what? THAT IS WHAT MADE PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION TO BEGIN WITH! They made the songs fun and catchy and people could sing along and party and have a good time with it. The tunes are pretty basic, simple and fun BUT without that "look" it most likely would not have happened for those guys. KISS still wears all their stuff. Not saying to go back and be a mirror image of yourself way back when. Just give the fans something more to look at than a tour shirt! They still had a good show, with pyro, lights and confetti, a massive set list and a really good time (Nothin' But A Good Time!). Just a little disappointed that nobody except KISS bothers to dress up for their shows anymore. Some of the Black Metal bands do, however not a single Black Metal band is touring America selling out 20,000 seat venues every night. This is not limited to Poison. Almost ALL the bands that come around now look the same as the guy standing at the bar getting a beer. "Hey, that was ____________ (fill in the blank) from ___________ (fill in the blank)! I didn't even know that was him! He has on the SAME SHIRT AS ME!" Boy, talk about a spoiler. How would you like to pay $50 (or in most cases, MUCH more) to go see a concert and the bands all look like they just got back from Wal-Mart? Oh, thats right ----- THAT IS HOW IT IS NOW! Get used to it, fellas. Until a brand new band that has an exaggerated look hits the big time, we are all stuck with jeans and tee shirts. When you have no competition, you get lazy and there is nobody "setting the bar" so to speak. What the fuck happened to that bar? Where is it and when are they bringing it back? I challenge anyone out there reading this to name 5 new bands who have an "image" and who dress like you are entertaining people when they step onto the stage to perform. Not jeans and tee shirts and tennis shoes. Where are the image bands?!?
PEOPLE WHO CAN NOT SPELL
No wonder this country is getting our asses kicked in the education department ----- has anyone looked at the astronomical amount of posts (usually related to the news stories) that have grammatical errors? This pisses me off to no end. College graduates who can not spell simple English words. "Boycut Churses" ???? Do they mean "Boycott Churches"? I can't look at these things without getting angry. It seems like nobody even gives a damn anymore. Used to be, if you had horrible spelling, other people would say something when they spotted an error so you could correct it. Now, people just say "Oh, he/she means this" instead of "What the fuck does this say?" If it isn't spelled correctly, you look like a moron to those of us out here that have some brain cells remaining. A dictionary is a big book with all types of words in there. Most likely, the word you keep spelling wrong is listed in there too. In alphabetical order. "I don't know how to spell the word, how am I going to find it in a dictionary?" Gee, dumb ass, most likely (again) it will be in there, right where it should be. If you can pronounce the word, you can locate it in the dictionary. Too many people rely on the "spell check", which is stupid as well. Know why? Because even though "hear" is a word, the spell check has no idea that you mean "here" when you type in "It was like that when I got hear". Or, if that doesn't light up anything in your head, how about "To many people are in this room". Actually, there are "TOO" many people in the room. One more - "Who forgot there coat?" Who forgot "THEIR" coat. People, use your brain. These other countries are catching and passing the USA in the literacy department. Once upon a time, America was at the top of all the lists. Now, we are slowly losing ground because nobody gives a damn anymore. Parents - READ to your children. Let them SEE YOU READING. Knowledge is power and the more you read, the more likely you are to improve your vocabulary along with your spelling skills. Plus, it doesn't hurt your grammatical IQ either.
MUSLIM POLITICIANS
Has anybody been checking the news in the last few days? Turns out that a recently elected Muslim congressman (who refused to take the Oath Of Office with his right hand on the Bible - you know, LIKE EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN ELECTED BEFORE HIM had to do) tells a crowd that President Bush is just like Hitler! Now, before I have a heart attack, let me pose this: If a white politician made a similar comment concerning a black person, all Hell would let loose and his career would most likely be over. Since this guy is a Muslim, he can get away with it and there is NO backlash. Don't want to step on anybodies toes. Can't get people mad or they won't vote for me. Unless of course, you are a Democrat, THEN it is OK. How long do you think McCain or Romney or even Gulianni would last if they said that Jesse Jackson is a Nazi? The United States Of America has a constitution that allows this idiot to say what he wants and/or believes. As long as he isn't white. Or, a Republican. This is not a black/white thing. This is an American thing. If this guy is so against the Prez and this country, why doesn't he carry his Muslim ass to somewhere that will execute him for speaking out against the leaders? Oh, thats right, HE CAN'T, because those countries DON'T ELECT POLITICIANS! They kill them. Hey, dumbass! Stop trying to divide the people! I thought you said that you wanted to "work together with everyone" should you be elected to office. Never heard you saying that you would not put your hand on a Bible if you got elected though. Wonder why that is? Never heard you compare Bush to a Nazi during your campaign either. As soon as it was decided to let him have his way (not using the Bible, like EVERYONE else), his balls got big and now he thinks he can do and say whatever he wants with impunity. Most people probably think this is no big deal. As long as the American people are concerned with offending other cultures, America is a target. As long as we have Muslim politicians pushing their ingrained hatred of this country and our customs and beliefs onto the youth of this country, we are a target. If we can't get along with ourselves, how can we fight the enemy? This congressman is a disgrace to our soldiers and to this country. If a white republican said a statement like that against Clinton, what do you think would have happened?
TYPE CASTING / PROFILING
The Muslims are the problem. Period. They preach hatred and have no respect for themselves or anyone else. Do you see or hear of Jewish children being recruited to be suicide bombers? How about Catholics? Christians? Atheists? Buddists? NO. Because the people who practice those faiths are HUMAN BEINGS. Think I am being too extreme? In the last 40 years, look back at all the terrorist attacks. Muslims. The Olympic Village massacre in the 70s. The plane hijackings. The airline bombings. The embassy bombings in Kenya, etc. The Marine barracks bombings. The train bombings in Spain. The subway bombings in London. The FIRST bombing of the World Trade Center in '93 (forgot about that one huh?). The bombing of the USS Cole. The World Trade Center in 2001. The theatre and school attacks in Russia. The Middle East situation. Go ahead and look it up. Over 90% of these attacks were commited by MUSLIMS. Preaching their "religion of peace". What a fucking joke. Any religion that promises (if you are a male) that you get a bunch of virgins when you die as long as you kill other "infidels" is a JOKE! This is NOT a religion! I get to fuck a bunch of virgins in Heaven if I kill myself. If this is the case, how come it is only the young guys blowing themselves up? It would seem to me that if that was the case for real, there would be NO MALE MUSLIMS left. Any "religion" that uses pussy as a reward is not a religion to be taken seriously. Think about it. We ALL know what the problem is. Now, what do we do about it?
