It has been so long hasn�t it?
That letter I wrote to you 5 years before and dropped at your doorstep
You asked of me to call you, that I did
You told me of your declination, I cried
You said to me that we could be friends, a thing that never happened
The possibility you gave, not taken out of fear
Here it is now 5 years later, the same game we play
I see you with that smile and those same glorious eyes and
I smile with you
We both know what is true
Why do we continue this bipartisan suffer?
On this 5th year we could try it differently
Another letter at your doorstep
How will you and I respond this time?
