| This species grows from Mexico to Colombia. Flowering is in spring and summer. These orchids are so small that it was truly amazing how far the camera could get in to get this closeup to the left. The blooms are only 4/5 of an inch or 2cm in diameter. Usually there are up to 15 flowers on each branch. The leaves are about a foot long. These were highly fragrant flowers. The best scent to describe them would be either cotton candy or angel foodcake! Not a bad scent! |
