QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS

Help!
I'm feeling nervous/anxious/scared about the Reunion.

Our resident psychologist assures us that these feelings are perfectly natural! Many of us are approaching the reunion with a combination of anticipation and apprehension. We may wonder whether (or how) classmates will remember us, or feel concerned about how we look or whether people might judge us in some way. Or, we might be worried that we won't know anyone there. Plus, maybe the approaching reunion has revived some of the not-so-good memories from high school along with the good ones.
The important thing is not to let these feelings prevent you from attending an event that you are very likely to truly enjoy. If you think you might be more comfortable attending with an old friend, look at the guest book list and see if there is someone you would like to connect with in advance. Perhaps you would feel more comfortable if you had an "official role" to keep yourself busy with while others are arriving. Just let us know,

Finally, feel free to contact the Committee if you just need a "pep" talk!

Planning the reunion has reminded us of what a nice group of people we had at our school (and they just seem to be getting nicer). Even if you don't know many people when you arrive at the reunion, you are sure to make new friends before you leave.

Should I bring my spouse/significant other  to the reunion?
This is the question that everybody is asking. Here's how I'm handling it. The Saturday night main event is a Cocktail Hour, then Dinner followed by Retro music to dance or socialize to. My husband is going to go to the Cocktails and Dinner and he's going to go home after that. This way, nobody feels uncomfortable and nobody feels guilty. You'll have a chance to introduce your guest and then let them go. Now, having said that, all spouses and other guests are VERY WELCOME and encouraged to stay for the whole evening. It's up to you!
