Ulises
History:

Ulises, was captured from Saedyrasafrnid, Iceland in November of 1980, a few days later,
Bjossa, Finna, and Vigga, were captured from Reydarfjordur, Iceland. They joined Ulises at Sadyrasafrnid, Iceland and then sent to Vancouver Aquarium. Ulises was sent to Rioleon, Spain, but then he was to Barcelona, Spain where he spent quite a long time there with the campanion of Bottlenose Dolphins. He soon grew out of his tank and on February 1, 1994 he was transffered to Seaworld California, because of a sexual depression. Also, he was becoming aggressive and he was going to be on a ten year breeding loan. While he was in Barcelona he was depressed and was often bullied by his dolphin companion. Ulises, unfortunately even though he has bred with a few females at Seaworld, he has not impregnated any of them. It is thought that he has a low sperm count. On April 21, 2001 Bjossa was moved from the Vancouver Aquarium, and it was the first time in 21 years that Ulises and her weree together. Apparently they did not get along as much as everyone thought they would. Ulises even raked her a few times

What he looks like:

Ulises is a large Icelandic, and the only mature male orca and Seaworld CA. He is very easily recognized by being the largest orca at Seaworld CA and having the tallest dorsal fin. It used to be
straight and then curved to the right at the top. Now it is it is becoming a bent fin like most mature males in captivity. When he first arived at Seaworld in 1994 his dorsal fin was straight. He also has very big pectoral fins and his tail is curled. He has a few black dots on his chin and has a little bump on his head cause by an unknown injury. His eyes are two different colors, the right one is blue, while his left one is brown. Ulises is 20.3 feet long and weighs 9,700 pounds (August 2001).

Personality:

Ulises is also known as Ulysses. Even though he is massive, he is a very sweet and gentle whale. The trainers sometimes referrers to him as a "Sweet Heart". He likes Orkid very much, but she doesn't really "notices" him. Sometimes, however, they spend a great deal of time together vocalizing and playing. His rank is very low and is often raked by Kasatka and other whales. Most of his "free time" he just like Corky spends time swimming up-side down. Nothing cna fear Ulises, when he is afraid, he swims real fast in a corner as if trying to hind himself. Ulises now lives at Seaworld CA with nine other whales,
Corky, Kasatka, Orkid, Splash, Takara, Keet, Summar, Nakai, and Kohana.

My own personal story with Ulises!!!
