| Ah, what can be said about Or'anya Kaimelor? Many things, I suppose. It is a beautiful and magical world. It has been said that Or'anya was created by the Gods out of hope and passion. A world that had neither been forgotten by magic, nor had forgotten magic. The world was to be populated by those who would believe, and live within that belief; those who would not always deny what they saw and felt, nor brush it from their shoulder as a grain of sand. And this history is believed; for the Gods, themselves, seem to have taken up a very personal, active interest in the world. There have been stories that a few of them have even mingled with the merest of mortals, sung songs, and told tales. A few of them, it has been said, even live amongst us in the guise of mortality; pretending to be human or beast, enjoying those moments they spend amongst the world they love so much.
Several continents and kingdoms inhabit this world, each with their own population. However, none of them are as densely populated as the Ardhon en' Meiv. Or, literally translated: "Land of Balance". This continent houses the kingdom of Vanyanin Aran'dor. And the continent is, literally, a Land of Balance. The population is as diverse as anyone could wish, with both dark and light, good and evil; each of which seem to hold a main design to the balance of the continent. Nay, the world . . . The oceans of Or'anya Kaimelor are deep and blue. Quite often a fleet of Pirate ships can be seen sailing upon them. Two of the most famous pirate ships are captained by two of the most famous Pirates: the Darque Plague, captained by Balthazar Darque; and Incubo dei Commercianti, captained by Beck Bentley. Their ships are seen coming and going on an almost constant basis. There are other things that inhabit the seas, of course . . . but what they might be remains a mystery. Each continent has its own beasties and people, of course; and those different cultures all have their own rules. We embrace the cultures of the Faeriefolk, the Dwarvenkind, Dragonkin, Kenderkin, Elves, Humans, Vampires, Lupine . . . and many, many more. We are a world inhabited by almost anything the imagination can imply. It's an interesting world. And, it's spectacular. Incidentally, the world has been host to several beings recently . . . not from here. Some of them are from another time, another place. And, somehow, they seem to hold keys to keeping the balance of Torlan's kingdom . . . I smell change on the wind . . . . Possibly Chaos . . . . |
