Welcome to Mr. Vayner's math class.  I hope that together, we can create comfortable, positive learning environment in which you will all be successful.  Your success in this class has a direct correlation to the amount of effort you are willing to put forth.  If you give me 100% effort on all assignments, and you seek extra help when you need it, I will guarantee you successful completion of this course!
   
For grading purposes, your final grade will consist of the following components:
Tests & Quizzes: 

  -  All tests and quizzes will be cumulative and will serve the purpose of showing your mastery of the content.  Tests will always be announced a minimum of 1 (one) week in advance, while quizzes may be given with no notice!

            50%
Homework:

  -  Homework will be given on an almost nightly basis, and like tests will be cumulative.  You are encouraged to work together with your classmates, and seek help from me when needed.

            20%
Projects:

  -  During the course of the marking period, you will be asked to prepare and present 2 (two) content related projects.  These projects will be done in a group format. 

           20%
Participation:

  -  You will be evaluated on a daily basis based on your participation in class discussion, group work, preparedness for the daily activities.

            10%
