This poetry is all my original work. Each piece is published in the International Library of Poetry and copyrighted by me. It is written in iambic pentameter, the style that William Shakespeare (among others) used when writing most of his work. Please, enjoy the poems, and write me to let me know what you think. Thank you! ^_^
Loveless Symphony My life was just a loveless symphony, Till suddenly I stumbled unto thee. With heart so very clear, intentions true, I didn't know just how much I loved you. I wished to hold you gently in my arms, To shield you away from every harm. If ever you should lose your faith in me, Then that will be the saddest I could be. If but one time you'd hide away your heart, My very soul would be torn straight apart. And when I told you that immortal phrase, I figured you I would completely phase. But you made clear that everything was fine, And now, I know, oneday, I'll make you mine. You opened me up to such brand new things, And when I think about you, my heart sings. I'm sorry for the pain that I have caused, And now I realize what I'almost lost. My dearest, darling love, forever true, I've found no one else I can love but you.
Crying Melody My life is but a crying melody, And now, I realize, t'will always be. Love's little but a crue and vile lie, Depressed, as I stare up to the sky. The sky, clouded and blue, much like my heart, Since the time mercilessly torn apart. And it is none her fault, thugh she did know, The feelings I do have; I love her so. She smashed my heart to pieces without knowing, But through this poem, she must know now; it's showing Just like a rash across my tortured face. to even fall in love in the first place Was a mistake, it's plain enough to see, No one could ever fall in love with me. Emotions dead and lying on the ground, They've died a silent death. Without a sound, Eventually, I cry myself to sleep. For my eyes close more firmly while I weep. My life is but a crying melody, For no one ever will have love for me.
