Welcome to... First Chance Center Food Program
(CACFP)
Click here for the latest alert............
The Child and Adult Food Program (CACFP) began in 1968 as an extention of the National School Lunch program to address the nutritional needs of the children in child care homes and centers. To date, the CACFP has reimbursed millions of licensed child care providers and centers across the country for part of the cost of nutritious meals and snacks served to the children in their care.
Participating homes and centers also receive numerous nutrition education opportunities such as workshops, newsletters, and nutrition education materials.
CACFP reimbursement helps to offset food costs so caregivers are better able to furnish high-quality, nutritious meals and snacks to the children in their care.
