Issue Three, October 2002

In the last issue of catboy musings i did an extremely gushing (but well deserved) review of Aimee Mann's I'm With Stupid album. I posed the theory that her music served as the soundtrack to my life, that it was the background to my everyday shenanigans. Well, that made me think. And the above question was posed to you.*
Alison:
Anything by Bruce Springsteen. The characters in his songs just always seem like somebody I know, and situations they have experienced.
Lisa:
The Moulin Rouge soundtrack, because I have always dreamed of being a Parisienne hooker that could dance up a storm.
Francis:
That is a dumb question. What is this for ? (interview terminated).
Robert:
Fiona Apple for those angry periods. Tori Amos for reflective periods. Portishead for those weird "fuck, where am i at?" moments. And Weezer for all those in-between geeky moments.
Cate Blanchett:
I heard catboy was working on an album. I must own that.
(N.B. Cate Blanchett actually not interviewed. And Catboy is not releasing an album. At least, not that he is aware of...)
Mel:
Bruce Springsteen - "My City of Ruins"
Jason:
(Jason's comment deleted, as he listens to crap I don't even want to put up here. Editorial discretion is allowed.)
Troy:
George. I am not so sure if they sum me up, but that is all I am listening to at the moment.
Erin:
Badly Drawn Boy. Ron Sexsmith. Aimee Mann.
Sarah:
My office plays nothing but Phillip Glass. I used to like Phillip Glass, but not 24 hours a day. I now hate Phillip Glass. Dink dink de bloody dink!
* well, maybe it wasn't posed to you specifically. but it may have been to somebody else reading this article. so if it was, i did mean you. if it's not, don't be so bloody pedantic.
