catboy musings
episode I - the beginning

has a beginning..."

catboy musings started life as a humble paper 'zine.
after cash flow problems, problems with contributors and a general
loss of heart it was shelved indefinitely. the first run of fifty
issues still sit forlornly in a blue briefcase bought especially
to cart them around in. they are coverless (the cover was to be
printed and added later as a different colour) and still looked
at forlornly.
fast-forward a year
and a half later. a soul-sucking job led to a desire to get in
contact with the creative side that i had been neglecting of late.
i revisited the idea of my catboy musings 'zine, but this
time it would join the disenfranchised voices on the world wide
web. The internet has managed to give a voice to everybody, and
I was determined to be one of them. after much hair-tearing at
software technology (myself being much more suited to the cut-n-paste
technique of the paper 'zine world), which was finally solved
for me by my friend erin catboy musings is now available
for all to peruse. and this time I will not give up, although
my aries nature states it must be so.
no project can be accomplished
without a lot of thank yous. so here they go:
- my sister alison, who encouraged
me to continue when i had given up. sometimes older sisters can
be right (although not in casting decisions for the lord of the
rings movies).
- erin, who also put into
gear our new-found identities as webmasters

- my parents, although they
do not have the technology to read this
- my workplace, who unknowingly
financed the first initial paper-run
- sarah, oldest and dearest
- lyndah, for just being
pinky
- aimee mann, tori amos,
nelly furtado, macy gray, portishead, moloko, rem and weezer
for getting me through all the upload and html sessions
- god (oh, wait... that's
for my grammy speech)
- my brother and his new
family for forgiving me for not being there for the birth of
the baby
- mina for just being mina
- and you might as well get
a thank you too, if you just read all of this !
