Rufus R. Lowery,77, born in Butler, ALa, and a resident of Biloxi 65 years, a retired plumber, died at 10:40 pm Monday at his residence on the Big Ridge Road in North Biloxi.
  He is survived by his wife, Mrs Ruby Burdine Lowery; four sons, George, James, and Robert of Biloxi, and Eugene of Killen, Texas; four daughters Mrs shepherd Seymour Jr.and Dennis Entrekin of Biloxi' Mrs.Merton Bickford and Mrs. Cale H. Jones of Naples, FLa; one sister, Mrs.E.C. Archer Austin, Texas;one brother, C W Lowery, San Antonio, Texas; 44 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
   The funeral will be at 2pm Friday from the Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, with burial in Biloxi Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm Thursday.

Biloxi- Mrs.Ruby B. Lowery,97, of Biloxi died Saturday, July 29,1989 in Biloxi.
  Mrs. Lowery, a retired clerk with the City of Ocean Springs, was a Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lowery.
  Survivors include three daughters;Mrs Margaret Fountain and Mrs.Villere Seymour of north Biloxi and Mrs.Ruby Entrekin of Vancleave; a son,Eugene T. Lowery of North Biloxi; a sister,Mrs.Gladys " Dolly" Bosarge of Las Vegas. Nev; 43 grandchildren and 103 great grandchildren.
   Visitation will be tonight from 6 until 9 at the Howard Ave.Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi. Services will be at 11 a.m Wed. at the funeral home chapel with burial in the Biloxi City Cemetery.
