( Richard was the oldest son of Richard Addison & Ruth Eliza ( Foster) Addison from Gosport, Hants, England.) He was born abt.1859 in Portsmouth, England, and was the 1st of the Addison brothers to come to the US from England, abt 1878, at the age of 19, settled in Polk Co, Fl, and homesteaded near Lakeland, Fl., growing citrus. |
