| A Grandmother's Love | ||||||||||||||||||
| I loved sitting on the porch in summer time, Granny in her favorite chair, and me in mine. Immersed in conversation about life and love and all the wonders that living consists of. I remember those special times of my youth, as a young girl searching for knowledge and truth. Granny always had good advice to give, about God and love and the right way to live. She guided me through all my childhood tears, and through those confusing teenage years. She comforted me through my first broken heart, and taught me that each day could be a new start. She taught me kindness, patience and love, and she taught me wisdom comes from above. She taught me that even in times of great sorrow, to look to the future and a brighter tomorrow. Though Granny's been gone for many years now, just thinking of her can still make me smile. She had wisdom and love that everyone could see, and the lessons she taught I still carry with me.
