Ricardo Sallis put his artistic talents to the test when he redesighed the Trojan head murals in the girls' locker room and the weight room.

Newcomer gym teacher Ms. Beninga asked Sallis to paint the mural in the girls' locker room, and algebra teacher Mr. Joens requested for the mural in the weight room.

"It's a really great piece of art," said Ms. Beninga. "Ricky definitely made the womens' locker room a class act."

Sallis claims to always having a passion for art when asked how he got interested in painting the murals.

"People think it's hard to create it," he stated. "You just have to learn to look at it as an object instead of an art, and you can get something accomplished."

Other projects Sallis has compleated include repainting the boys' locker room upon Mr. McGraw's request. He also designed the poster at the Vine Street entrance door.

Sallis received extra credit points, as well as special privleges for completing these projects.
